iMBT released another dvdrip just a minutes ago: Smiley Face is a “weed” comedy very similar to Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Famous Anna Farris in the main role should be a huge magnet for people who haven’t decided whether to download it or not yet. Don’t expect anything spectacular, it’s just limited, festival movie, but it will probably give you some good laughs. English and French subtitles included.
Jane F., an unsuccessful slacker actress, is having a bad day. And it’s getting more outrageous and comically surreal by the minute. Smiley Face is a freewheeling, cinematically stylized After Hours for the new millennium. Jane’s misadventures begin when she treats herself to a batch of cupcakes left unattended by her psycho roommate (Danny Masterson) that prove not as innocent as they appear, Soon, she is trying to cross town so she can repay an unforgiving drug dealer (Adam Brody), attend an audition, and somehow replace the precious cupcakes. Bumming a ride from her roommate’s friend (John Krasinski) - who is totally infatuated with her – she sets out on a long, strange trip. And when the original manuscript of the Communist Manifesto falls into her hands, things really get out of control.

This was ok but not great. I lol’d at the part when she is in the meat packaging place and goes on this whole big speech about the working class.
I saw the dvdsceener a while ago, and i ONLY downloaded the movie because of Anna F. .. But it turns out that this movie is REALLY good! 8/10! It’s a lot funnier than it looks!

Watched this movie not long time ago and for my taste it was very dissapointing. If you don’t have better movie to watch and you wanna kill some time and smoke grab it, but I wouldnt do that specially because whole story did put me down. Toilet scene was funny for me and nothing else.
this is a fun movie, watched it when was wrecked and it made sense, then when i watched it the 2nd time, awaiting delivery of a certain smokable product i didnt really understand the film. Watch it while you are mashed this christmas. its a nice alternative to all the child friendly viewing on Christmas day. I certainlty reccomend, but only if you are mashed!!!

This movie was written by someone who has never smoked in their life. Seriously, this is not funny, it’s just stupid.

limited means it was premiered only in selected cinemas in the united states - it usually varies between 10-100 cinemas, apart from “big” movies which get the mainstream projection in 3000+ cinemas.
can anyone explain why this movie is not on the private torrent sites? this version anyway, the dvdscr is there but this is the first movie in months that is on this site and not on private sites…

This movie was garbage. I watched it with a number of weed heads, and nobody liked it. It feels like somebody who had never smoked weed in their life made this to appeal to the younger generation and failed miserably. This is a disgrace to all stoner movies. Cheech and Chong would be appalled.

Adrive always seems to be 100-150 kb slower than xdrive.
has anyone else experienced this? People always say how fast adrive is but i got to say xdrive seems way faster.

I watched this on screener a few months ago, i was really looking forward to watching it. Personally i thought it sucked, really boring…83 minutes has never felt so long! I thought it was pointless, and unfunny. I used to be a stoner 10 years ago so i can relate to films like this. But it really was a waste of time and a waste of Anna Farris’s comedic talent. If you thought dude wheres my car was funny then chances are it will be the best film you will watch this year, otherwise don’t waste your bandwidth! Oh also, its a greg Araki movie (mysterious skin, Nowhere) you wouldn’t actually belive it as it feel nothing loike his previous efforts.

This movie ended up being deleted after just 15 mins in. Utter garbage!

Dude, I totally LOVED this movie. Watched it at a party with some friends and it tripped me out!
You do kind of have to be a huge pothead or know someone who is a huge pothead to find this as amusing as I did.

This movie is terrible. Totally unfunny. Stoned or not. I’ve smoked for nearly 20 years and I’d stop tomorrow if I became anything like the main character in the film. Yeah you may laugh if you watch it stoned, but you’d more than likely laugh a anything then right? It’s probably made by some Exec who has never even smoked a ham let alone a joint. Avoid at all costs & download a Cheech & Chong movie if you wanna see a funny film about drugs.
