After I have entererd the serial it tells me that the license key has been blocked and disabled. How do I overcome this?
It’s way better than Visio because it’s easier to use.

With that ribbon interface It looks exactly like Visio now. Microsoft may get a little touchy about this, since I think they patented the ribbon interface.
Sorry folks but I feel like an idiot having to ask this. I disconnected from the internet, ran the keygen, entered the “SD” number so I could install and then I am totally confused by the rest of the “nfo”. I stay disconnected from the internet and I tried using the ID above the “SD” and putting it into the Activation field without any luck. I then tried the number below the “SD” and put that in the Activation field and still no luck. Would someone step me through this inch by inch? In return I will stiffle my sense being total idiot.

just to let everyone know the when you burn this image to a cd and then put the cd in your drive go to the drive and right click and select open, this will open it as a folder instead of running the setup…. then go to folder CORE and there is a working keygen in there, just ran it and worked perfect…
Alright guys sorry for all the posts but i think i got it working. Do what i said before with using the keygen in the CORE folder… The keygen starts with SD and there is a long code below it, what i did was disable all traffic from my firewall and when you open SmartDraw it will come up with a box needing a validation code because it can’t connect to the internet, to the left of that code is an ID nuber, on the keygen replace the ID number from the program with the one already on the keygen, the last code is your validation code… Enter that in and everything seems to be working now
i disabled internet, mounted the image, installed program using serial from keygen and when program started there was no prompt for validation due to lack of internet connectivity, whats going on here? any help anywhere on this! thanks
What did it say when the program opened? Mine connected to the internet then got banned for invalid serial….
I am very cautious of getting this 2008 version, because the 2007 version had a lot of problems:
- Save files failed to encapsulate all formatting, so you’d have to reformat parts of your diagram each time you opened it.
- The PDF Exporter worked like arse.. I’d usually find myself taking a screencap if I wanted to share something.
- All of the symbols except the most basic ones seemed to have issues with formatting and text wrapping.
The 2007 version was generally unpolished and buggy (which is more than enough to favor Visio, IMHO).
Can anyone give details as to whether these things have been addressed?
If you got the error that your serial number has been blocked and disabled (because you didn’t disconnect your internet connection), then you must uninstall the software before attempting to re-install it again, otherwise you’ll continue to get that error.
After installing fresh, and with no internet connection, you should get the validation window with your ID number to enter in the keygen. Then copy the last line in the keygen and paste it in the product activation field.

that will be much easier to crack change the host file to point their domain to your local machine. Install apache. Now the application thinks its going to that website but its actually your local pc… make a program to return the valid string.
ive mounted the image. ive opened the core folder with the keygen, but gives me an error that “you do not have permission to open this file” then my system hangs. Also im using the avast antivirus and it detects a trojan on the keygen. cant anybody whos opened the keygen just paste a serial number…….im losing hair trying to get this thing to work

well i tried that, i completely uninstalled everything with the name “smartdraw”, but it seems as if the software left some hidden files that has completely banned my computer form registering.
can someone show me how to remove these restricting files so i can register this program and finish a my assignment.
I figured out how to make the installation complete, but had to do it on another computer, i still need help with my first post.
After you type the serial that CORE provides, you go on to the “product validation screen”, it provides you with a “computed ID number”. Now, in the CORE keygen replace the ID number to the one offered by the product validation screen. The product validation number changes. Copy-paste, click OK and voila!!!

I think that once you have made the mistake of not disconnecting the first time, the serials are banned for good. This is my problem too! Can someone suggest us a way to remove any hidden files (registry values) of SmartDraw to have a clean install???

It worked for me. I installed it on my PC at work, just in case I screwed up I can install again. I did exactly what dude (#35-Nick) above said. After I disconnected from the internet. I installed the program. Then I took the id number from Smartdraw and entered it into the ID slot on the keygen. It generated a new new validation code for me. Working fine for me!
Had to do a minimal install to get the activation screen back. Then did a full install after that and now have it working. I originally did a full install

If your installation is getting “serial number invalid”
You are missing a critical step. You need to change the name in the actual keygen
Follow these steps exactly. Trust me this works!! Try it you will see.
Disconnect from the internet first.
Unistall any previous installations.
Open the core file and run keygen.
In the name box on the top part of the keygen type in a new name to whatever name you want
Run the set up file.
When asked by smartdraw, enter the serial number provided by the keygen - the one starting with sd-
Finish the instalation.
Now a smart draw window will open requiring the validation code (you have to get this from the keygen after pasting the ID number from the smartdraw box into the keygen).
Copy the id that is now shown in the smartdraw window, and paste it to the keygen window.
Copy the new long number at the bottom of the keygen window and paste it to the smartdraw window(activation key).
Connect to the internet and press OK.
Let me know if this works

Well had it working once , then downloaded the 8.33 full patch , because I created a big piece of work on the Trial version and its seems to be 8.35 . The version 8 we are installing wont read this higher level version from the Trial ware. So patch installed - and then key no longer valid.
Any body any ideas how I can recover my work - go down level (Trial wont let you do it). Lets hope name change fixes install of old level as that always comes up with key not valid. But will at least be able to boringly recreate.
I will use InstallWatch to see what the install changes and try and shed some light on hidden data that gives this issue.
Well here is the the full answer to all our prayers. How to install the programs and latest patch 2008.34.
1. Get ISO CORE.bin from Tam torrent - if you dont understand this tough.
2. Go to Smartdraw this link and get full patch http://www.smartdraw.com/support/updates.htm USE ALERNATE LINK for FULL PATCH .
3.Mount ISO Image , Deamon or Magic ISO or whatever
4.Do not start install
5.Open Mounted Image in Explorer - open CORE directory, fire up keygen.exe
6.Turn sound off if like me it drives you bonkers
7. Now there are four fields Name , ID , then one starting with SD and last just a load of hex data. The SD field is the Serial for Install. The last field is the activation ID based off of the ID field which is YOUR system ID that will be displayed first time your fire up smartdraw. SO now you know.
8. Now follow exactly these steps
DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET
9. Leave Keygen running all the time untill you have completed all steps
10.Type in a new name in Keygen , this will give new serial number (do this every time you try an install)
11.Start SD Install , use new SD 21 …. Serial
12. After install SD will start and you will see dialog asking for activation and here you will see your system ID (ignore at this moment DO NOT ACTIVATE) so cancel and close SD.
13.Install Full Patch
14.SD will start again and ask for activation ID. Copy and paste System ID from the dialog into the Keygen ID field
15. Copy and paste last field in ket gen into Activation field in SD and hit enter.
16. Voila full working copy 2008.34
17. Finally go to Control Panel and open Scheduled tasks and delete the SD task there.
18. Make sure SD NEVER communicates on the Internet. Use file wall to block all communications.

I followed your instructions word for word, got to the point where it had installed the full patch and when it re-started, and should have come up with the activation panel, I get a message saying that the serial number used is invalid and has been disabled. Is there a step you have omitted? Just so we are on the same page. I pulled out my network cable so I had no access to the internet throughout the process and made sure I did not activate after the first SD2008 had installed. Any ideas on what has gone wrong here?

Hi, my problem is in the first step. In the program key generator of core when i have to paste the Sd code in the setup. the program give me more numbers than the setup ask me…The SD number in keygen have for example SD-21-231682-0271-8003-07914-90-36837 and in SD program i have space to put 21-23168-027-800-90-3683

I downloaded Smartdraw 2008 and then 2007, just in case there was something wrong with the ISO Core Version. It wasn’t that. Both have the same issue.
Can anyone figure out what went wrong? I can’t even setup the program. I use a Firewall and have Vista X86 version Ultimate.
