    @ 2 and 7

    try ConvertXtoDVD

I’ve used it for xvid and x264 avis but not mkv, but it’s supposed to be compatible though.

I think 3.0.0.7 is the most recent version.

@15: IMGburn is great for image burning and extract the DVD files to your computer.
    This is for everything else.

I want a burning program that will allow me to set the order in which mp3 audio files on a cd will be played. Nero doesn’t do this, it just sets them randomly and they can’t be moved. No other burners I’ve tried do either.

Will this program work with that?

killawife – Windows Media Player will do that for you…

You can’t just connect an ethernet cable and expect something to happen.

The easiest way and cheapest is to buy a USB transfer cable. You can find them for around 20-40 bucks. Connect one end to your computer and the other to the laptop. It has a chip in the cable that basically fools your computers into thinking its a USB mass storage drive; so don’t try it with a regular USB cable, it won’t work.

27 I think the last time I used Easy CD it did that? Maybe give it a try if it is even still in production? Or WinOnCD which was I think a foreign version(slight differences) of Easy CD Creator by adaptec. Also think musicmatch might have too but haven’t used either in so long for audio because of solid state devices like iPod and such.

Imageburn can’t even do multi-session. Starbun by Rocket Division Software is better for vista and its free too.
It’s that good that it can even burn files to a 1962 VW beetle hubcap if you run out of DVD’s
