I know again that this isn’t a scene release but in this case i think this also deserves an exception. Reading so many comments of people spamming other release pages i decided to put the damn thing on. Anyways this movie had gotten heaps of positive reviews, probably stands near the top films of ‘08. I too was waiting for this release and thank god its a DVDSCR. Anyways enjoy the release, for the people who are against p2p on this site, but I suggest you wait for scene. I will also put details for the soundtrack which was released a few days ago.

The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show’s questions. Each chapter of Jamal’s increasingly layered story reveals where he learned the answers to the show’s seemingly impossible quizzes. But one question remains a mystery: what is this young man with no apparent desire for riches really doing on the game show? When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out.     Great! Been waiting for this. Sometimes you hear about a movie so much before seeing. When you finally do see it, even though its a good movie you find that your expectations had built up so much that it doesn’t quite meet it.
    I hope this is not the case here as well. I hate it when that happens coz you get deprived of the enjoyment of a good movie coz your expectations were too high.

    In case people haven’t read the information tacked onto the posts.
    It’s directed by Danny Boyle, aka 28 Days Later and Trainspotting if that’s any indicator of the movie’s quality.
    That said I’ve already seen it in the cinema, it’s amazing.
    Subs are text overlayed across the screen ala Heroes, but only for the Indian speaking parts.

    Anyone know if there are watermarks, b&w screens etc?

    Anybody else having trouble watching the sample?

    Works fine in VLC player only but there is no picture in BS player or Media player. And yes, I have the latest codecs installed.

    Is the actual movie ok and/or can it be burnt to disk and watched on a dvd player?

    You’re ignorant if you think this is both an indian movie, and that it would be bad for being an indian movie. It’s not american either – Danny Boyle is a UK filmmaker, and the main star is of indian heritage but also a UK citizen – he’s on Skins.

    Anyway I’ve been waiting SO long for this, and it’s not playing anywhere near me so I’m going to watch it ASAP. Thanks rlslog!

    Movie’s quality is comparable to a DVDRIP, although subtitles for the non-english scenes (hardcoded) are a bit weird (Heroes style). Might be distracting. Other than that, great release.

    Just saw this in the theater; it’s absolutely my favorite of the year. Not many films can draw you in like this one can. I’d bet any amount that it’s a lock to win at least one oscar this year.

    But wen it came to writing on the actual post…i’m kinda the last here.LoL.Bt definitely with good reason-I just couldn’t let myself at anything else as soon as i downloaded the movie.

    I agree with #22.sometimes some flicks are so hyped n the expectations so great that wen u actually watch the movie,it doesn’t come in line with the blown up anticipation in ur head.
    But there are good movies and there are good movies.And this one has to be the best among 2008.
    The movie is not a Bollywood product as u might have already known.but it’s based on a book named “Q & A” by Vikas Sawrup,the Indian Deputy Ambassador to South Africa.
    Danny Boyle’s great direction,awesome camerawork and his sense of aesthetics is seamlessly complemented by A.R. Rehman’s World Music soundtracks.
    By the way,talking about the story,there’s another one by the same writer titled Six Suspects which has been released a few months ago.

    I have to agree with IndianBoy as this is an amazing film. For a DvdScr it has no problems of blur at the bottom or black and white. It is just like a DvdRip. I would rate 9/9 for A/V both. Must watch guys.
