Slaughterhouse The Task Of Blood PDTV XviD-WPi

Vegan ? Vegetarian ? These people certainly have their own personal or health reasons that they choose to live their lives. WPi releases a powerful documentary aired on the Australian SBS channel. The documentary is produced and filmed in Britain, where hundreds of thousands of animals are killed everyday for consumption. Task of Blood takes a balanced look at the process from kill to consumption. The documentary also uses classical piano music as a background when they’re showing the pig carcases being processed, for an extra added effect. The lives of the meat processors are taken into perspective in the documentary as well, they are given their own opportunities to speak to the camera. Most of the general population don’t get to see this ‘behind closed doors’ operation and WPi has given us the opportunity to expand our understanding of the world around us. If you knew where your meat came from, you wouldn’t want it. Give this one a download if you’ve always have taken the meat you bought in the supermarket for granted.

Someone once said that if slaughterhouses had glass walls everyone would be a vegetarian. Slaughterhouse – The Task Of Blood is that glass wall. This powerful observational documentary reveals the day-to-day workings of a small, family-run abattoir and attempts to get inside the minds of the people who work there.

The process of meat production is shown in visceral detail – the animals arrive healthy and whole, and are then killed, skinned, eviscerated, butchered, and stored in fridges, before being transported to retail outlets. But the film doesn’t solely address industrial process, it is also concerned with the men who wield the sharp knives, the killers and cutters. The abattoir and the men who work there must be seen in the context of the town in which they are located – Oldham was once a cotton town but its production days are essentially over. The town has a large immigrant population, comprised of mainly Muslims from India and Pakistan, and Oldham has been the scene of racial disturbances in recent years. The film explores the, sometimes shocking, attitudes of the abattoir workers towards various subjects, including race and immigration. The facilities of the abattoir are used by both Jewish and Muslim slaughtermen for kosher and halal killing – their attitudes to work and the world outside contrast with those of the other abattoir workers. Slaughterhouse is a look inside a world that most of us know nothing about. Consider yourselves warned, you may never look at a pork chop in the same way again.

Just how good is your stomach? We shall find out, I am in the middle of getting some filet mignon ready to toss on the grill and saw this, looks like something good to eat by :) I’m sure I will never look at a cow again, instead of just seeing this large animal, going to see nice and juicy steaks.

LOL!!! strange docu, our school had a farm and they used to castrate the pigs with no anticeptic or what ever just hold them upside down by the back legs and cut the sacks open with scalpel and pop the balls out lmao the noise they used to make !!!!! for some reason they didnt do the sheep like that and they used to tie rubber bands about there bollox untill they just dropped off from lack of blood circulation.

we had a field of about 100 female sheep and when it was breeding time they put one ram (male) in and he has this block round his chest with a colour die on it so when he mates the females it rubs off on there backs and you know which ones have been mated …. we went in one morning and all the females had the die on there heads lol

haven’t watched this and don’t plan on it since i’ve seen similar programs in the past. i know exactly where my meat comes from and dammit i still want it. humans are omnivores. by design, we’re capable of eating meat. only in very recent human history has the option to eat meat or not come up. some choose to eat it, some don’t. that simple. programs such as this are necessary to inform for those who can stomach watching it but it stil boils down to choice.

Without getting into the pros and cons of the meat or veg side of eating (people are entitled to their opinions).

It was noted by someone famous that “most civil uprisings are only 4 square meals away” – meaning that deprive a population of food and within no time you would have an uprising.

No matter what you eat now – if food was for whatever reason scarce – you would eat anything at all that you could get your hands on with no guilt whatsoever – food consumption morality only comes into the equation because we as a society are spoilt like nobody’s business when it comes to what we can eat — take that choice away and I’m willing to bet the arguments over what to eat would soon all fade into obscurity.

I don’t understand what’s so bad about eating meat. I like meat. I try to include meat in every meat. I could care less how the pig/cow/chicken/lamb/fish/deer/sheep or whatever made it’s way to my plate. Those animals were provided for us by God. We are supposed to use them for our needs. Be that clothing, food, milk, companionship, labor, etc… These Vegi freaks are screwed in the head.

“These Vegi freaks are screwed in the head.”

And this is coming from a guy who says,

“Those animals were provided for us by God.”

Who exactly is the Nut-Job here? If you believe that humans are superior to animals due to an evolutionary accident, I could ALMOST have some respect for your comments. The fact that you attribute Divine intervention as an EXCUSE… Well, that just sums up the state of the planet, really.

And no, I am not even a vegetarian. I just have enough sence to see that our ways of producing meat are just wrong.
And not only for “ethical” reasons alone, I am talking health and polution just as much.

Vegans and vegetarians are usless, I hope they all choke on their tofu and die. Do you know that Soy threshers kill millions of field aniamls in the most painful of ways, snapping their limbs, crushing them in their holes under the fields. Anyone who thinks that the food they are getting is free of blood, is a moron, and ignorant to the ways of the world. They are only claiming meat is bad for them so the can climb a moral high horse. If we weren’t supposed to eat meat it wouldn’t be so tasty and nutricious. Grow up tard-o’s

LOL! You guys are too soft. Cows get ground into beef for your $1 cheeseburgers. It’s okay as long as you don’t think about the cows? Give me a break. You guys would be hurting without mass production because I doubt you’ve ever hunted. Maybe you have hunted. But I would also doubt the hunter have a problem with food production. Just ones who wish for eutopia. God did put those animals on the planet for use to use. It says so in the Bible. Not the toilet paper we call the Koran. (That’s just a jab at Islamic terrorists. I’ll never forget 9/11) But back to the point, I’m tired of people who cry for “ethical kills” of consumed animals. I mean, are we all going to omit meat? Of course not. So why feel guilty for eating it? I could care less how my steak was killed. I’m concerned with how it’s cooked. Nuff!

Magnanimous personalities and honest spiritual seekers, identify neither themselves nor any other living creatures with the external body no matter what nationality, color or form it might have.
Real unity and peace in this world comes about when we see the same eternal soul within each bodily shell, imbued with the same spiritual perfection, and the same rights for happiness and protection.

The hypocrisy of claiming to be religious while adhering to a vision other that the one described above, is shown in this thought-provoking paper delivered to the Assembly of the World’s Religions.

“Because he cannot really sense his own soul, the mundane religionist, and the misguided spiritualist, cannot sense it in other creatures and so think nothing of feasting on their slaughtered remains.
Insisting that some living creatures have life but not soul, he inadvertently assumes the ideologic posture of the materialist, who reduces life to a mere biologic function.
Under the sway of this contradiction, he fondles one lesser creature and slaughters another, pampering one as his pet and cannibalizing the other as his dinner.
Devoid of even rudimentary consciousness of spirit, he remains blissfully unaware of his sin.”

“Belief in souls in animals aside, the mundane religionist lacks the moral keenness and simple compassion to be sickened by the bloody cruelty which he tacitly endorses as a human carnivore.
Due to dulness, he remains unaware that the creature he blithely eats had to endure unspeakable suffering in the slaughterhouse-suffering for which he himself as its chief beneficiary, is responsible.”

“Vegans and vegetarians are usless, I hope they all choke on their tofu and die. Do you know that Soy threshers kill millions of field aniamls in the most painful of ways, snapping their limbs, …and ignorant to the ways of the world”

Hope you know that every year rain forest the size of 50% of Germany’s surface are destroyed, and that 90% of the surface that was destroyed is used for meat production. How’s that for killing “field animals”, huh? Veggies are soooo useless, yeah, but if EVERYONE was veggie, then we could probably feed the whole fucking 3rd world since we wouldn’t be wasting so much space and ressources on meat production.

and to the guy who wrote:
“Those animals were provided for us by God.” oh man oh man you think like a 100 year old. In fact, i can’t find the words to describe your stupidity.

the only reason we eat meat is because we were forced to do so during our childhood. No kid would eat their own rabbit for example.

plus, I think it’s totally arbitrary to eat cows, pigs, fish, etc., but to cry out “cruel!!!” when it comes to eating horses, bears, dogs, cats. There’s no difference.

jeez it’s so annoying how people are blinded from truths and can’t think to look outside their little fairy-tale worlds…

the issue here is not eating meat but how that meat gets there in the first place. years upon years of literal torture just so some fat, mislead idiot can eat a meal is wrong by any standards.

if u idiots knew anything then u would know that most things in this shitty world now revolve around money and nothing more. poor treatment and low costs go hand-in-hand.

i don’t eat meat but wouldn’t be half as upset about doing so if the animals it came from were treated as they damn well should be before being slaughtered.

greedy, money-grabbing bastards, i hate them all.

At the end of the day its a simple process called “the food chain” lucky for mankind where at the top of it (well we are in england where we dont have lions and bears) but the point is man has always bred animals and always will for the purpose of eating, granted some animals live a rather shitty life as its cheaper for manufactorers to produce there product that way, but theres also plenty of farms that take better care of there animals , if your that bothered dont buy supermarket meat and support them nice farms instead
