Sims 3 Create A Sim-AVENGED

The create-a-sim mode from The Sims 2 is another part of the game which has been given a complete makeover for The Sims 3. Here is a run-down of what you can expect to see with the Create-A-Sim mode in The Sims 3.

Description:
Create-a-Sim (CAS) is the character (Sim) builder, where the polygon 3-D models of Sims can be modified. New features include the ability to change footwear and head wear separately and to add freckles. Sliders have replaced prior functions in CAS. For instance, muscular and obesity sliders replace The Sims 2 system of three body types (fit, regular, and fat). Skin color, hair, voice pitch, clothing texture, and other things can also be adjusted on sliders.

The original system of percentage bar personality points has been replaced with a system of traits. These traits control the way Sims behave. For example, a clumsy Sim may break items while using them and a hot-headed Sim may annoy another Sim at random. They also open up special interactions which might not be available otherwise.

    I still have no clue what this is. On the official Sims 3 website, they post nothing about this. This is not an expansion or add-on, this is a tool? a 2 Gigabytes tool??

    I’m still in the dark about this. Can someone let me in on this?

    This seem a little exciting for me and i can now customize my Sim the way i wanted. But, I’m already bore of it. I haven’t touch it for 6 months now. should i uninstall it? lol

    from what i understood it changes the way you make the sims ingame, instead of the usual sims editor, you have this one with more option.

    this is what i think, as i havent played Sims 3 yet, so might be better to wait for someone that has tried this out.

    @Everyone :

    i think this is a replacement for the in game feature to create a sim, maybe because EA thinks that the one that the game has right now is not perfect or maybe just because EA is greedy and release this now instead of putting it on the game since the release.

    @40 : if you read EA site carefully, EA explained that the current one is not flexible, and the one that The Sims 2 has is more better, and EA then perfected the one that The Sims 2 has and then release it for The Sims 3, to replace the create a sim that The Sims 3 has.

    I’m interested in this if it is indeed a stand-alone editor, since it could make for a neat and versatile avatar generator for IM/MSN or site/character icons.

    Has anyone tried it yet?

    Can you create a sim and view it, so that you can also capture the finished product as an image?
