man..if the director is good the movie is good, that how it goes everywhere. hollywood comes out with good movies and bad movies, its all about the money in hollywood.and fereign movie are cool too if they are made by someone who knows what hes doing. its not fair to say hollywood sucks or asian movies suck. its all about the makers of the movie.

I think everyone knows that “The departed” is a copy of “Infernal Affairs”, coz they openly said they bought the script and translated it, and it’s credited in the credit too. So I think don’t need to bring this up. But I think what that person trying to say earlier was that “The departed” is better than the original “Infernal Affairs”.

Though, I think “Infernal Affairs” is better. The departed seems draggy when watching. And Infernal Affairs has those very old music playing, which made the film look artistic and giving those characters abit more charm?

Anyway, this is just what I think.

Haven’t watch this show Silk but I think it should be worth watching.

take a good look at the “Departed”.
Huge amount of Americans liked this movie so much until that it won the movie of the year and bla bla bla…

2 years before this movie was launched, there was a mandarin movie called “Infernal Affairs”.
If you watch Infernal Affairs, you can see that “Departed” is exactly the Hollywood version of it.
Cheater!!!
Even every single bit of detail is exactly the same.
For example, how the undercover cop who is the mole in the police department.

I have watched crap movie from every country so I think Michael comment is really stupid. Also what Lost Art said about The Ring and Ringu I agree but Ju-ons were great and so was Infernal Affairs 1 not part 2 and 3.

I dont believe rating movies by market shares. Despite all the talks, say some movies worth watching.

Some people give credit to asian or whatever movies, because they are not from hollywood, i think you belong to those. But i dont. Despite all the actions by hollywood, they make good movies, maybe not so many as years ago – but still. This discussion is about movie itself, not about the whole context surrouding it.

I can list a lot of movies made after 1993. Maybe you could list your precious good movies. Dont come up with some idiot xploitation or splatter movies made by your schoolmates.

Anyone who thinks Hollywood movies after 1993 are any good must have an IQ of 71 and live in a trailer park in the fucking south with his sister.

Asian and European movies are the best around now. That’s why Hollywood is losing market share in those countries.That’s why they’re fucking whining about it to Dubya so he can leverage the World Trade Organization to remove tax credits and subsidies for the local film industries in those countries.

Movies from hollywood arent all that bad. Actually, they have made a lot of good ones aswell.

I dont like asian movies, because every horror movie is the same. Long and boring.

Like with “the ring”, i liked the yank version a lot more better than original ringu and its followers.

The departed, a lot better than the original one.

Koroshiya 1, what a piece of shit. The audition, boooring. Another j-horror, dark water – bleh.. Ju-ons – get a life.

What about Korean movies? Memento mori, omg.. Wishing Stairs? lol ?

What comes to asian action movies, well there are some good ones, but some give them more value as for some risky stunts or whatever. I would more appreciate the movie as a whole. Like some people praise Citizen Kane just because of its new techniques of filming.

Seriously, good movies comes from europe or from us and a. India – they make more movies than anyone, but ehm. heh
