Silent Hunter 4 Wolves Of The Pacific Uboat Missions-PROCYON

PROCYON yesterday released not only a videogame based on TV show LOST, but also an expansion pack for popular ship simulator Silent Hunter 4. The original “Wolves of the Pacific” is required to install this add-on called “Uboat Missions”. Once again, as in case of every PROCYON’s release, there’s no crack to bother with. The size is also acceptable for users on slower connections.

With the arrival of the German campaign in U-Boat Missions, players gain control over additional strategic resources other than their own submarines. These resources can be used towards the goal of sinking enemy shipping by either helping the player locate enemies – i.e. the scout planes – or by directly attacking them.

Game features:

* Operate off Japanese naval bases including Penang, Singapore, Jakarta and Surabaya.
* Call in air and surface support to defeat superior enemy forces.
* Command the submarine crew and become a distinguished hero of the sea.
* Includes new upgrade system, new intelligence information, new navigation maps and much more…

    I do!!! Microprose ruled the Sim market.

    Getting the Soundblaster upgrade just to hear the digitised speech (Dive, Dive, Dive).

    Great game - still play it with DosBox. Nothing like sinking 50,000 tonnes of Jap shipping on a patrol.

    Seriously, anyone remembers “Wolfpack” then? :)
    I’ve never stumbled upon a genious game like that.
    True, nice graphics come with those new sub games, but where’s the fun when you can’t play as the surface ships?

    In wolfpack there was a multiplayer, sub vs surface..
    is there anyone out there who have seen such game since?
    Or can this game do it?

    The requirement are because of the wave graphics, that seems to be what makes it jump that high, when you consider the difference in graphics between this and CRYSIS or even FarCry, I wonder if it would not be better if they would start from an existing FPS engine and adapt from there.

    For those reading that do CRYSIS modding, do a little sub, with the Korean patrol boat mission and letsee what it could look like (please?)
