Silent Hill 4: The Room
A small post for a mediocre game. Silent Hill 4 is now re-released for PC so if you like the Silent Hill franchise, here’s your fix. No official group posted this, this is basically a random uploader but Silent Hill 4 was never posted on RLSLOG so I thought: “Meh, what the hell…”.
Henry Townshend wakes up one day to realize that his apartment has been chained and bolted shut…from the inside. All by himself inside the creepy apartment room, he tries calling for help, but no one can hear him. Henry’s only escape is through a strange portal-like hole that appears in his bathroom, but the hole takes him to strange places, which house strange secrets, and even stranger creatures. Henry must go through this hole if he wants to get away from his apartment, which is slowly being invaded by an evil force, and must attempt to find an answer for who or what locked him in…

PC version came out about 2 years ago already. I played it on PS2 and it wasn’t that bad but the other SH games were clearly better.
Which is why I posted it. I’m sre it’ll pop up on NTi.

I didn’t like silent hill 4, I played and completed silent hill 3 but couldn’t get into this one. It was released ages ago though as stated above. If you want a good horror game you should try a game called ‘Scratches’, it’s pretty good.
Hey kevin u should put the Fear Expansion on rlslog. I havent played it but i own Fear and its great.

The actual idea and the concept behind this game is in my opinion great. I mean the psychological effect, what if you did really woke up in your own apartment with no way out.
Put I still have to say that I wasn’t that fond of this game because although the story etc were rather good I disliked the gameplay aspects. I think it was way too clumsy to move around and that they could have better.
Other than that I think it’s a swell gaming experience for anybody hungering for a good plot and who doesn’t mind swearing a little because it a little uncomfortable to play the game.

i agree: this game is mediocre! all 3 games before are much better (silent hill 1 is the best). maybe because this game was originaly created to be other game, and not a silent hill game. search the internet for the complete history.
IMHO , this game is excellent just like every other games in the Silent Hill series.If you love the psychological survival horror genre then you can’t go wrong with this.Better than resident evil in all aspects as far as i’m concerned (haven’t played 4 though).It’s true that the gameplay is a bit jerky in The Room but this is just a minor problem and it doesn’t affect the whole experience at all.Graphics are also pretty decent on PC if you play in 1600 x 1200 or higher (they were better in 3 though.

I think someone who is posting news on a site or in a newspaper isn’t allowed to take parts… even if I think a game SUCKS, I won’t write it in my article this way, because I must remain objective. You can’t say about a game that it is mediocore, if that’s your opinion only.
lol! this is a blog, its run by some guys who have opinions. and you’re on the net, are you too lazy to go look for other reviews? gave you a link to wpedia right there.
No one says that you can’t have an opinion. I’m just saying that if you are trying to reach a big audience, always stay in the back, don’t post YOUR opinion, or if you DO POST IT, then say that it’s only YOUR opinion. Things like: “This game is mediocore” can make people nervous who for example think this game is excelent, but if you say: “In my opinion this is a mediocore game” than nothing will happen… it’s your opinion, who cares?:D

I played this game for a few weeks, and I liked it!
You have to really like the genre to like this game itself..
You also have to have a lot of patience out there.
The graphics are also ok, since the game came out more than three years ago.
My opinion is that it’s a very good game, which causes me a few nightmares and a lot of puzzles which I couldn’t solve in a few minutes.

great game. controls can be customizable to be like in Silent Hill 2 (and so can Silent Hill 3).
