Fans of the Horror genre, rejoice. Fabled group PUKKA released the R5 version of this new spook film. Ratings are shameful, but if you liked movies like “The Ring” and “The Grudge” then you won’t care. Video quality looks brilliant, but the LINE sound is lacking.

Synopsis: Treading territory similar to JU-ON: THE GRUDGE (2003), RINGU (1998), and ONE MISSED CALL (2003), all Asian horror films remade for American audiences, SHUTTER is the first English-language film for director Masayuki Ochiai, whose career has been primarily within the horror genre. The result is another potent ghost story able to conjure up feelings of dread through a single longhaired, poker-faced female apparition. Newlywed New Yorkers Ben (Joshua Jackson, THE SKULLS) and Jane Shaw (Rachael Taylor, TRANSFORMERS) have traveled to Tokyo, where photographer Ben is investigating a potentially lucrative job opportunity. While driving on a dark road at night, the couple runs over a mysterious woman who seems to appear out of nowhere and can’t be found after the accident. Over the next few days, Jane goes sightseeing while Ben works, only to see strange apparitions that also appear on the photos she takes.

    Ok, watched the original Thai version last night. Its just about okay.

    Kind of mix of the usual ghost movie stories of a car accident, ghostly pictures etc and (some perhaps Thai ?) myths about ghostly behaviour. I don’t want to add any spoilers.

    As for the ghost, I thought the ghost from the ‘Ring’ came over. LOL.

    @ 18 you dear fellow are an idiot pukka didn’t pass protect their file as I downloaded it and it unrared fine. You probably downloaded a fake or someone uploaded the pukka release and added their own password. @79 it was called “The Eye” and it starred Jessica Alba and in my opinion it rocked the original chinese version while good sucked compared to the Alba remake.

    audio is fine people, crystal clear and it is not out of sync!

    Movie itself, no where near as good as the genuinley creepy thai version. Not creepy at all.

    And I downloaded Pukka’s torrent just fine for those who were complaining. No passwords, crystal clear audio, and good quality rip in general.

    Nevermind, I watched it without subs.
    I found it cute rather than scary :3
    The story development was very slow and they had to make a quick conclusion for it, which wasn’t very nice.
    Pukka’s release was good quaility indeed and I had no problems at all.
