Shrooms LIMITED R5 XViD-PUKKA
Today we have an R5, from PUKKA, of LiMiTED movie, “Shrooms”. This is an Irish stoner/horror film shown in German theaters back in August. To be honest I haven’t seen this film (mainly because I live in the US), but it seems a little interesting. The IMDB rating isn’t very high, and the actor’s names aren’t very familiar, but I think the story itself will make up for that.
Plot: Having been promised the ‘trip’ of a lifetime by their Irish friend and mushroom expert Jake, a group of American teenagers arrives in Ireland, keen for adventure. Despite Jake’s warnings about the ’shrooms they shouldn’t eat, things start to go horribly wrong and the teenagers suffer horrific visions. The panicked friends are attacked by ghostly creatures, never sure whether they are experiencing gruesome reality or startling hallucinations. As the group is bloodily whittled down to one, it is soon clear that, whether or not these apparitions are real, the carnage they leave behind certainly is.

this is strange cause i remember a movie a few months ago if that about people that took lsd and and some crazy guy was trying to kill them, now we have a movie about people taking shrooms and dieing.

The Tripper was more like a satire on American republicans rather than an anti drug movie. Shrooms is another is a new line of Irish horror movies. I doubt it’s antidrug.
Shrooms in Ireland? I’m going to watch this just bcause im from ireland. You can no longer buy shrooms in ireland since about this time 2 years ago. I guess u can grow ur own but I wouldn’t trust it. 1 in about 4 or 5 trips go very very badly in my experience. This one time I felt like i was glued to the floor for 2 or 3 hours and couldnt move and ever sound was a lie even if it was the sound of a door opening etc… Neway, I’ll have a few brews and watch this to see if they have as good a time as i did on maji mushies

This movie sucks! It’s OK for 15 minutes or so, but then it becomes painfully predictable. Its obvious that the people who made this haven’t actually done mushrooms. It exaggerates the effects to a ridiculous extent, sad thing is some people will think thats what mushrooms really do… This is just a crappy anti-drug horror film. They should have called it Mushroom Madness.
as DDKaplan already said: i have just watched it, and it sucks. it’s not even a litte like a real mushroom trip and (as in most horror movies) the people act extremely stupid: they separate, the go deep into the woods and lock away everybody’s mobile phone, they take mushrooms while in a bad mood and argueing, they have no trip sitter with a clean head, they tell horror stories in the evening as like they actually want to induce a bad trip and so on…
the movie is bad ass predictable, has no real shock or gore scenes and seems like an anti drug campaign to me. the only positive points are the nice nature scenes in the forest and some disturbing elements like the talking cow or the salivating foresters.
quality of vid is pretty strong and easily watchable
the movie itself was ok…heres a review that was pretty close…though they put it higher than i would have
