Let’s celebrate, maVen is back! And they returned with glory - a new, brilliant telesync of Shrek 3. Although nuked, this is by far the best telesync you can get right now. The video quality is very close to dvd screener, all colours are very vivid and there’s no annoying blur. Now the bad part: they watermaked the video with small “maVen” logo for no reason (sample), but luckily for us, this lasts only few seconds in the middle of movie. Little worse thing is they used cam audiofrom CAMERA’s release for last 12 minutes, because they somehow couldn’t provide direct audio for the whole movie. Anyway, if you want to watch Shrek 3 in excellent quality, this is made just for you!

.zix need winzix to be opened and winzix is TROJAN
the real maven file is 712mb (not 710), it includes a sample, and .r48 is 3mb (not 9mb) as this one

The group called aXXo is out with perfect dvdrips. They always bring 1cd releases with AC3 sound and is out there pretty quick with such releases.
Search for axxo on mininova.org and se how many seeders and leechers there are on his rips. Think you should post more of them.
And if you read comments about them you can see that people are pretty satisfied with them.

dont download this, like previous posts it contains .Zix file which you need a program thats infested with crap, go to Wikipedia.com and search for Winzix, and you will see why Zix is completely useless file format and pretty odd for a maven release.

Well I got the real version off TL yesterday and this release is far from being close to a DVDScr, in my opinion anyway. I would call it a decent TS, not even a great one.
It’s hands down the best version available video wise, but the sound was a lot better on the TFE release.
As stated before. This is a corrupt file that the torrent is linking to. The file only contian a zix header and footer, the rest is only empty spaces, no avi header or data.
As mike67 said, download the 712mb one. Do not download the 710mb one. There is a copy of both on almost every torrent site out there by now, so remember to downold the correct one.
Do not use the torrent link on the review.
In this case, the zix file got only the header 11-bytes and the rest of the file is filled with spaces (0×20). This means the “winzix” program cannot turn bunch of zeroes to a movie. Or it might be pretty advanced uncompressor..

To fix the audio on that release, read it at vcdquality forum.

1. Open AVI with VirtualDub
2. Select Audio>Full processing mode
(video>direct stream copy)
3. Save audio as .WAV
4. Open WAV file with Audacity
5. Split Audio into seperate channels
(where it says “audio” on the left click that and “split stereo track” is on the bottom)
6. Select all data in Left channel
7. Select effects>invert
8. Save as .WAV (dont overwrite the other one!)
9. re-combine with VirtualDub (Video direct stream copy/audio from WAV)
10. Convert resulting AVI using ConvertX if you want to burn to DVD

I get more corrupt files on Newsgroup downloads then I do on P2P downloads. I usually download from trusted sites such as eztv, torrentleech & of course here (newtorrents.info) so honestly P2P is fine for me at the moment. Although the way HD is going I don’t see Bittorrent lasting for more then a few years as distributions keep getting BIGGER and BIGGER.

I reckon it was wrong of me to trust the Release Log bloggers to filter out the good from the bad on this site. The torrent link I clicked on ended up being a damned .zix file which I refuse to open. The problem with .rar files is you never know what are going to end up with.
I think MARTIN the writer of this post should have informed us that this was a .zix file.
After watching it and the movie really is crap, the dwarf if the best part of it all.
Nice! I downloaded it and unrared, then was told to use winzix to unzip it again, not realizing i downloaded and installed and luckily my antivirus caught the trojan and deleted it. Tried to still use the program since i was that far anyways and no go. so im trying to understand why this download has so many stars, are we rating the movie or the download, cause there are many other places that can rate the movie

Doesn’t anybody look at the files contained in the download before downloading from a public tracker? If you’re too lazy to do that it’s your own fault, or get a better client. Stop blaming RSLOG for your laziness/ignorance.

Demonoid: you dont give people 2nd chances? and i didnt say i got screwed over as you put it, i simply said i cant completely trust rlslog anymore and that i was sent to some bullshit download. normally i am very careful in what i download unless i get it from rlslog. am i confused as to what rlslogs business model is? i had thought that they go out and find good downloads and provide a place where i can come and find good things without having to sort through the bullshit myself. if i had known that they just take the top virus filled things from all over the net i would just find my own stuff.
