Should I Smoke Dope WS PDTV XviD-REMAX

Is it possible to ignore a release with a title like this? Seriously, REMAX brings out some of the very best and most interesting releases in the scene today. When I read the NFO to this release I was even more intrigued, so read the description below. In the past, shows like this have sparked a lot of interesting debate in the comments, so go ahead and download the release and tell us what you thought about it.

Journalist Nicky Taylor travels to Amsterdam to investigate the growing debate about the legal classification of cannabis. While there she helps out in a coffee shop that sells the drug, and discovers first hand what the effects of cannabis are on everyday life. Back in the UK Nicky finds out about the genetically modified cannabis skunk, cheap and increasingly sold on the streets. The programme asks whether the drug can make you mad, if it is worse than alcohol and if it is stronger than it used to be. Nicky takes part in a month-long medical trial to find out.

@99 You don’t smoke weed for “the look,” you smoke it to get high, aka, “the feel.” Jeezus! Thats like when Bill Clinton, (god bless his dumb-ass), said he puffed a joint but didn’t inhale. Umm, earth to BILL CLINTON, earth to BILL CLINTON. Either Stop lying, or stop waisting the blunt. Puff-Puff-Pass, whicha b*tch @ss!

Blackhound, I agree with you on many of those points. But it has been proven in many studies to have no real long term side effects. And stop calling it dangerous, anything can be dangerous in the wrong hands. If anything it probably keeps you safer the majority of the time. Most people relax and just chill in a room when they smoke. Everything needs to have a balance, if you smoke everyday all the time, you’re not really going to get much done. Some people prefer to do that, whatever, it doesn’t affect or bother me. They aren’t going to die from it, they’re just going to waste a lot of time. But people waste a lot of time doing tons of other things.
and btw, thc is non-habit forming. You aren’t going to get addicted and have to use it constantly or go into relapse. You can stop doing it anytime you want. What people should really be talking about are the harder drugs and over-the-counter pills. Those are the drugs that actually killing people. Like I said before, you can’t even die from weed or overdose on it. You would have to smoke over 70 pounds of only 1% marijuana at once to actually overdose. Thats physically impossible and absurd to even think of the notion.
Bottom line, weed should be made legal and be praised for its medicinal capabilities. This whole “War on Drugs” is a joke. How many more harmless pot smokers are we going to send to jail?
To all the pot smokers out there I urge you to check out these video links and fight back.

cannabis is in essence the same as anything else….Taken in excess and it can be dangerous.

(and anyone at all with mental health issues, or even people going through stressful situations should say well clear of stuff like this (alcohol included)

    Should it be legalized?
    http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/mentalhealthinformation/mentalhealthproblems/alcoholanddrugs/cannabisandmentalhealth.aspx
No. the health department of every country in the world are full of Kids (and adults) who will never have a decent quality of life again. and thats all the reasoning needed.

If you have ever smoked cannabis then its Your responsibility to look after the welfare of others that do the same.

No sorry Steveo, It’s all about set and setting. People need to be educated about the benefits and risks just like anything else.
A psychoactive drug isn’t going to make you go crazy. It’s your mind that manifests the experience, the drugs just open doors of perception. Insecurities and subconcious thoughts come to the forefront in the experience for some people who might be more genetically vulnerable to thc. If a person is not comfortable with what they discover or what they think about while on the drug, that is a psychological issue the person needs to deal with. Any psychologist or psycho pharmacologist will tell you the same thing. Again, people need to be educated about the risks and benefits, then make a intelligent decision. Do not blame the drug though.

weed does NOT make you crazy, lol. If it werent for weed some people wouldn’t be millionaires (ask snoop). Fact is weed was illegalized in the 70’s because of biased media painted a perception of crazy hippies doing all sorts of things that your great grandpa didn’t like. He was what was known as a “square”, and because he couldn’t fit it. He decided to take away the rights of others to be an @ss. Simple as that.

no. thats Exactly what psychoactive drug's are responsable for: quote:
F12.x Mental Disorders Due to Use of Cannabinoids

Marijuana (marihuana) is a colloquial term for dried leaves and flowers of cannabis plant (Cannabis sativa L.)
Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) is responsible for the psychoactive properties of the cannabis plant
Complex physiological functions of the cannabinoid system: motor coordination, memory procession, control of appetite, pain modulation and neuroprotection

    Summary of adverse effects:
acute: anxiety, panic, impaired attention, memory, reaction time and psychomotor performance and coordination, increased risk of road accident, and increased risk of psychotic symptoms among vulnerable persons
chronic: chronic bronchitidis, a cannabis dependence syndrome, subtle impairments of attention, short-term memory and ability to organize and integrate complex information

F12.x Mental Disorders Due to Use of Cannabinoids

Effect of cannabinoids on central nervous system:

Euphoria, enhancement of sensory perception, tachycardia, antinociception, difficulties in concentration, impairment of memory
Cannabis use may exacerbate symptoms of schizophrenia and may precipitate disorders in persons who are vulnerable to developing psychosis; heavy cannabis use may increase depressive symptoms among some users
Tolerance develops; the relatively long half-life and complex metabolism of cannabis may result in a low intense withdrawal syndrome
Marijuana use tends to impair executive function in the brain, e.g. higher risk for all types of injuries is associated with cannabis use
Cannabis abuse and dependence were highly associated with increasing risks of other substance dependence [/quote

thats exactly what we are talking about…Its fine for an Educated adult who really knows whats happening to say that, but 90% of users know nothing other than the few snippets of info the media give them (which are usually government sponsored and completely misleading)

I don’t know how ‘inoffensive’ GHB is bud, I almost drove into a house on the stuff. I ‘G’d out’, and almost took the lives of two of my friends and whomever was unlucky enough to be in the house.

Moral of the story…abuse anything and it can be dangerous, even caffeine. Then again, Ive not only smoked a ton of ganja weed, but grown it, and sold it, and I never came close to driving into a house.

A buddy of mine owned a club in the city of Chicago where I live, and they used to dump girls who had G’d out by the dumpster. It is also a date rape drug of sorts.

If only I could remember what I was going to say… ;-). But on a more serious note, I have smoked cannabis daily for about 30 years and I always had the most potent and best quality available in Holland. It was fun, but I decided to quit. There is a growing body of evidence that there is a correlation with the onset of mental diseases like psychosis. Some 25 years ago, a friend of mine committed suicide by jumping of a building. There were other members of his family with mental problems (genetic predisposition), and he was under a lot of stress at the time, but I’m convinced that his daily intake of considerable amounts of marihuana has helped him going overboard. It is also unwise to smoke cannabis while under 18 because the brain is still developing at that age.

I’m not going to argue with people on here who know absolutely nothing about thc or psychology. Drugs do not make you think things, your own mind does. Psychoactive drugs open the doors of perception and you need to be educated, ready, and comfortable when you discover whats behind those doors. It’s just like anything else, if you’ve never driven a car in your life, it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to go driving on a highway or in the city.

People need to understand the concept of “set and setting” when it comes to psychoactive drugs.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_and_setting

People will be doing drugs forever and noone can do a thing about it. We need to educate people and decriminalize drugs like Marijuana.

I say to each his own. But it is ridiculous that it’s ok to drink, but not to smoke. It should be all(preferably all) or nothing and no one can dispute that. I would like to issue a challenge, though. I would like someone to post the number of yearly alcohol related accidents, fatalities, and crimes versus marijuana(crimes don’t count if it’s possession, cultivation, or trafficking that’s just freedom fighting). Those facts should be an interesting read. For the record, I’m 34 and I’ve smoked since I was 12. I haven’t experienced any bad side effects other than watching the home shopping channels and eating too many snacks. Oh, and the worst side effect of all…dumb people killing my buzz. Being of Irish descent I would never say you shouldn’t drink, just let me smoke a j while you do it. Afterwards we can go laugh at the crackheads and tweakers. I’m done rambling now…fire it up!!

    Of course you should.

But probably not everyday, although better to be a herbaholic than an alcoholic, being addicted to anything plain sucks.

Never smoke SOAP BAR or GRITWEED, which are dangerous problems only stemming from prohibition

Stay away from excessive drug & alcohol while under 20 and still developing

Don’t mix it with tobacco. Dangerous and addictive. Bongs all the way!

“genetically modified cannabis skunk” erm, no. selective breeding is not the same as GM.

This look like propaganda bullshiz, wouldnt expect anything else to be shown on british TV, but am gonna grab it anyway, good to see what the manipulated opinion is.

    Google

    “cannabis induced psychosis”

Somewhere in there you will find some truth and truth is what we need, not a million idiots proclaiming that because they have smoked a load of dope and their fine, it’s safe.

@173..there’s not ONE case known to mankind where cannabis was to blame for a car accicden, murder or anything similar…on the other hand we can all buy Alcohol (which is by classification a HARD DRUG) everywhere…

Think I’m coming to this discussion a bit late. Hope there’s still people out there. I’ve smoked for 20 years, and between 97-2004, everyday. 00-04 I finished 3 degrees in 4 years while working full time as a server and smoking throughout the day. I feel sorry for those of you who pot makes you un-ambitious. Not me. I moved from Vancouver Island to London, England in 04 and quite frankly, the pot sucks here and I too expensive and I just quit. Plus, I did notice that not only did it taste like cleaner, pesticides and herbicides, it did give a crazy high that wasn’t very good. At home I smoke organic, heirloom seed pot. Way different and way better. In Canada the government has de-criminalized, much to the chagrin of the Americans. Anything under an ounce is personal and you can grow naturally 2 plants. But trafficking is still illegal. We have a day called ‘Smoke In’ where across the country people gather on the parliament and legislators lawns and smoke pot all day. Nice.

This program was a farce. She needed someone who was a veteran as well to fully get the story. You could tell the café owners thought she was a bit of an ass.

What the f is that a-hole talking about drugs won’t make you find the way to jezus f*jezus… he’s dead 2k years. IF he existed. face it, there’s no god, no jesus, weeds no drugs if chocolate or coffee isn’t drugs. So it isn’t and stop complaining and leave us alone to smoke one, and get high. And thats as close as men will ever get to heaven or f*cking jesus who doesn’t axist or c*cksucking god (mind that i’m not using G bud g,nah! f*ck you god)
