Is it possible to ignore a release with a title like this? Seriously, REMAX brings out some of the very best and most interesting releases in the scene today. When I read the NFO to this release I was even more intrigued, so read the description below. In the past, shows like this have sparked a lot of interesting debate in the comments, so go ahead and download the release and tell us what you thought about it.

Journalist Nicky Taylor travels to Amsterdam to investigate the growing debate about the legal classification of cannabis. While there she helps out in a coffee shop that sells the drug, and discovers first hand what the effects of cannabis are on everyday life. Back in the UK Nicky finds out about the genetically modified cannabis skunk, cheap and increasingly sold on the streets. The programme asks whether the drug can make you mad, if it is worse than alcohol and if it is stronger than it used to be. Nicky takes part in a month-long medical trial to find out.

    I don’t understand why she needed to participate in a month long study when there are more than enough people who have smoked it for a lot longer than a month and for some years and decades. Why I am sure she could have talked to me about my extensive research in this area. Now I have to go because I need my daily fix. LOL

    Man, I know this is a scene release news site, but would it hurt to at least link the source where you guys found it? Newtorrents doesn’t have this, TPB doesnt, and neither does MovieX.

    I mean, it’s one thing to post something that’s easy to find with just a search or two on major torrent sites, but posting something that’s nearly impossible for the average user to find is kind of pointless, not to mention annoying, especially when it’s something interesting.

    Please start linking sources, otherwise there’s just no point in even making a post about something that no one can find.

    Love the site, just a well-needed suggestion.

    Anyway, this looks like an interesting doc and I’d really like to check it out. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen any MODERN research done on the physiological effects of smoking pot.

    I haven’t viewed it yet, but the article posted by #40 “mr p” poses an extremely weak argument. EXCERPT: “Her aim was to discover the true effect cannabis had on her mind and body - and conversely on the millions of Britons who now smoke it regularly.”
    One individual’s experience is hardly conclusive evidence of the effects on the majority of users. Just presenting how “Mega-weed” is readily available is not a reason people should turn against marijuana. Perhaps if it were govt-regulated and sold potency could be kept to a safe level.
    A similarly absurd argument would be to ban alcohol due to people getting f*c*d up on it. Free will and independent decision-making goes into the process of substance experimentation. Simply, don’t inject yourself with pure THC (or not?).
    Feel free to disagre/point out how undeveloped what I’m say is/point out flaws in grammar/etc.

    This is such a load of propaganda, it doesn’t surprise me it’s off BBC, a government owned TV station. There are so many bigger problems in the UK than stoners smoking weed, like muggings, random assaults and various alcohol and hard drug related violent crimes that happen every day. There are way more angry alcoholics in the UK than psycho stoned people. I was stabbed in London 2 years ago by an angry young drunk guy and I had to spend over a week in a hospital. The police never caught the guy who did it even though there were plenty of witnesses. It irritates me how the UK government constantly blames a peaceful drug like weed for all kinds of problems, while condoning a culture of binge drinking and violence. If they decriminalized it the UK would eventually be a much better and more peaceful place. I feel much safer in Amsterdam or Vancouver than I do in London.

    Weed is a drug. Any drug affects the natural functions of your body, and while some have been proven relatively safe (paracetamol, etc.) weed has not yet been confirmed as such. So no, you shouldn’t smoke dope.

It is also impossible to overdose from THC(the main psychoactive substance in cannabis). Studies have found that the lethal dosage is so high its not worth testing on human beings. Basically, a human being would have to smoke over 70 pounds of only 1% marijuana at once to actually overdose. Contrary to popular belief, even long-term heavy use of cannabis does not produce the severe or grossly debilitating impairment of memory, attention, and cognitive function that is found with chronic heavy alcohol use. Marijuana is most likely the safest, healthiest recreational drug you could use.

    Many of the harmful side effects of Cannabis are short term, as in lasting around 24 hours. Long term side effects are an accumulation of use. However, if one quits, the side effects disappear. Unlike alcohol or tobacco.
    Also vaporizers (the good ones at-least) allow you to, not smoke, but breath the plant. Allowing you to enjoy, in what some cases may be a legitimate plant, without the harmful side effects of Smoke and burning. Google it, you’ll see.

    Smoke dope by all means but don’t delude yourself…It’s a dangerous substance. Firstly, it’s illegal, and all the problems that go along with that. Secondly, the smoke is harsh, irritating and carcinogenic and all the problems that go along with that. Thirdly it definitely aids in the onset of mental illness in those prone to it and, possibly, in those not. Fourthly, there are the memory and motivation problems that any honest regular smoker can attest to. Fifthly the jury is still out on many long term effects.
    I enjoy an occasional smoke but I don’t delude myself that I am smoking some completely harmless benign substance. Play the game by all means but be prepared to pay the price.
