ShortKeys v2.3.2.1 Incl Keymaker-CORE
Group CORE brings us one more interesting app release: ShortKeys is a small utility which allows you to set predefined blocks of text to certain hotkeys and then execute them after pressing the correct combination. It basically works as a multiple clipboard which can handle up to 3000 characters. Keygen is included.

ShortKeys is a utility that allows you to set up replacement text or paragraphs for any given number of user defined keystrokes. ShortKeys monitors the keyboard activity on a global nature and anytime a user defined keystroke combination is typed in, it will be replaced with the replacement text. Save Time! Automate tedious and repetitive typing. Reduce errors. Type a few characters and ShortKeys will replace them with up to 3000 keystrokes. You will be amazed how much time ShortKeys will save. Countless Uses. If you find yourself typing the same thing over and over again, then this product is for you.
Examples of usage:
- Quickly insert Personal Information such as Name, Address, Phone, Fax or Email into documents, forms, email, etc.
- Insert URL’s into your browser.
- Customer Support/Service Centers – Working in a support center, you quickly realize that you receive the same questions over and over. Why keep typing the same information repetitively? Use a ShortKey to do this. Your productivity will increase immediately.

Consolidate all of your standard phrases, terminology, clauses, etc. into a set of ShortKeys. A few keys will save a lot of repetitive typing. Software developers will also find this a real time saver for inserting code.
- Medical Transcriptionists will love this program for its flexibility and ease of use.
- Sales Quotes – Type a ShortKey when a customer requests a price or service quote. Keep templates in ShortKeys for quick insertion into a letter, fax or email.

nice KEYLOGER…
I have to say that I do LOVE the functionality this program is supposed to deliver, but I find this particular app useless for a few reasons. The most important one being not being able to set same shortcuts as the other apps already use.
I do a lot of web development and most programming apps do have autoreplace available, so ie typing mb:[space] expands to margin-bottom:, bb:[space] to border bottom, etc. Yet with this app – I cannot seem to be able to launch the shortcut with the “:” & space characters and I do find it pretty annoing.
Going to try autohotkey now, but if anyone can provide alternatives, I’d be really happy. Thanks.
A free program called ‘AllChars’ does the same and much more. Been using that for years.
Have a look here: http://allchars.zwolnet.com/
Key combinations are found under the ‘macro’s’ tab.
Btw, with AllChars you can even encrypt your txt, so it’s also very handy for passwords.
Only thing is that you can’t use it for large pieces of txt.
AllChars don’t work very well for me, the only marco that works for me is “///” if i write “////” And sometimes wwa to their homepage, pice of crap.
‘AllChars’ sucks ass, Marcos dont work 75% of the times, often if you type too fast or too slow it don’t work.
BS! You can set the time out for the macro’s yourself. try something different then the 500ms default. Been using it for years with no problem.
Another thing is that you can just save and dump your old folder in ‘program files’ on a new install so you have all your previous macro’s. I did this many times over the years. And also if you have a double boot, just make a shortcut from your XP and dump it in the start up folder of Vista for example and your all set.
But hey, suit yourselves.
Out…
Downloaded this program, it keeps showing fraudulent license key, tried the CRC Check application, and it failed. what next?
No one heard of Texter? I am using that now =D
