The great DiAMOND brings us another fantastic DVDRip release tonight. This time it’s Shooter, a movie which I saw at the theaters a few weeks ago and really enjoyed! The last best release for this was only a TS so a DVDRip is great. This movie comes to us on 2CDs and with AC3 sound, which is always a great addition to me. Quality is perfect, as we could expect from DiAMOND. Enjoy!

    is the quality of a dvdrip like this one (1.4 gb for a Runtime of 124 min with ac3 sound)
    any less better then the original dvd?
    im not talking about high-def just the regular dvd’s

    I can;t wait to get this one. i was waiting for this since weeks, i was expecting a damond release and they have done justice.DIAMOND is a legend coz they know which movie to rip in 2 cds in 5.1 sound and which ones not. They know their shit and thats why they r the mos consistent scene group. Thanx diamond, Thanx Antoine fuqua for making a hardcore 8p’s style action film. Get rid of the pg 13 shit from action movies forever.

    @YoPlaY: if the ripping quality is good than You’re unable to see the difference. Still, DivX/Xvid is a compression method so technically speaking the quality is worse.

    I have a question to the scene groups… Is it possible to get a dvd-rip like this with DTS sound? A lot of movies are released with it and the quality is 3 times better than Dolby Digital 5.1…

    thanks for this. with action movies i’d always prefer 1.4gb especially in a sniper movie where the target might be miles away. and if u watch this on your htpc with decent sound system and a 42″ plasma you will notice the diff b/w the 800mb version and the 1.4gb version. Been waiting for a dvdrip! :)

    chris, how are you listnening, through your tv? or surround sound? remember this is ac3, it depends how many speakers your trying to project the sound through, youll need to toggle with the settings of your media player.

    A general remark on Torrent files and Releaselog….

    What i usually do to speed up my torrents(get more seeds)
    is that i add the torrent file recommended by rlslog.net(from newtorrents.info) to my client and then search for the same file in a torrent search engine (such as Torrentz, for example)in order to add more trackers….
    Most of the times the results i get is the entry with the least seeders/peers and often it has the [Nti] tag at the beginning of the filename….even though i’ve been downloading torrent
    files for quite some time now i’m still trying to figure out what does [NTi] stands for…

    BTW, thanks for this release.
    Also, with all this jerkoff wars again (for the hundredth+ time!!!) over scene/axxo, I use both types of rips – scene for films I want to see and DVD burn now (also to rewatch later), and axxo for ones I’m not too bothered about, but will watch eventually, then delete.
    Easy, now both sides shake hands (just wipe that stuff off them first).

    Your arguments are all really silly. Logically, everyone is re-encoding, whether it is the scene or your mom. I am positive the scene didn’t film, act, and produce these movies themselves. Hence, the scene, is no more of an encoder than any other digital pirate. One happens to provide the movies in a compact format, the other in a higher quality format with emphasis on time. One is for convenience, the other is for quality. All other reasons are void, because most everyone that gathers here just downloads the movies regardless of how they were stolen simply to watch them for their own pleasure. The only considering factor we make is about the quality. Therefore, your arguments beyond the quality of these films mean nothing. I think it is obvious who goes to more trouble to get the movies, but for random strangers to be sensitive when thieves steal other thieves’ *stolen* items is ridiculous. P.S. Looks like a good movie :D .

    Very decent movie! I’m not really impressed by the usual action-crap that Hollywood brings out, but I really liked Shooter. Too bad they had to throw in a conspiracy, but I liked the fact that the good Guys/bad Guys were clearly defined. It has decent action without becoming all too ridiculous, and for once it’s not about patriotism but about common decency.

    Wow, your should be called NegativeIQ. I’ve been downloading since the 28K days and your “blind facts,” are obviously wrong. Axxo has hundreds of films none of the Scene guys have. I watch both Axxo & Scene releases on my 42″ Plasma screen and all of them come out non-pixelated. With the exception of Silent Hill from both Axxo & Diamond. If you eat at fast food chains, don’t call yourself an elitist, moron.

    You can not compare any scene group to aXXo. It’s apples and oranges; they each work on different sets of principles.

    The scene is all about being the best and being the fastest. aXXo compromises quality for a smaller end file and his emphasis has never been on release time. This is why in most cases, scene releases are better quality and released before aXXo. This isn’t to say that people can’t enjoy aXXo’s releases as much as scene releases, but each is catering to a different market.

    What is an absolute pity is the self-entitlement that has blossomed since torrents have come along and made piracy more mainstream. Seriously, would you all quit your bitchfest? This is a site about scene releases; aXXo is not scene, so please stop littering the comments with crap responses about when and where the aXXo release is going to come out.
