Shoot On Sight 2007 LiMiTED XviD DVDRip-ALLiANCE
ALLiANCE releases a nice DVDRip of a limited dramatic film. Shoot On Sight, an entertaining drama that addresses racism, politics and terrorism. The movie has a fictional story based on Operation Kratos, the police “shoot-to-kill” policy applied to suspected suicide-bombers after the 7 July 2005 London bombings. The movie sound pretty interesting. ALLiANCE release an early DVDRip that might be worth watching. If the comment section does not go well i will close the comments for this movie.
Tariq Ali, a Muslim police officer of Scotland Yard, is asked to hunt-down suspected suicide-bombers against the backdrop of July 7 bombings in London. Tariq’s task gets complicated as an innocent Muslim is killed by the commando shooters of Scotland Yard. On the other hand, Tariq – a British citizen is himself a suspect in the eyes of his boss, despite his long service in the Scotland Yard.

for those who aren't aware, or maybe don't live in the UK, this is based on the shooting of jean charles de menezes on the london underground. De Menezes was mistaken for a terrorist and was shot 7 times in the head by the police because they thought he was going to detonate a bomb. it was later discovered that the police had actually got it wrong and killed an innocent man.

Police:
He was running and jumped over the barriers at the station, he had a big jacket and a large back pack.
When we shouted "police" he was grabbing at his clothes.
Reality as stated in court and shown on CCTV:
He was walking, had a ticket and passed the barrier normally, he had a light denim jacket and no back pack.
They never shouted a warning.

during the trial, one of the officers said that he shouted a warning and de menezes got up off his seat and advanced on him in a manner he felt was threatening.
a witness, who actually sat NEXT to de menezes testified that no warning was shouted and de menezes remained seated – proving conclusively that the policeman lied.
the judge told the jury that a verdict of 'unlawful killing' was not permitted, so all they could do is record an open verdict – which basically means that while they didn't find the police guilty, they didn't clear them either.
Guess the cameras monitoring the area were not working that day.

the fact that a warning was never given, and menezes did *not* advance on them, was *not* wearing anything that could have been mistaken for a backpack/bomb pretty much meant that they had made up their mind to shoot someone that day.
it was most certainly *NOT* a case of "he knew something he shouldn't have*. It was a f**k up of catastrophic proportions – pure, plain and simple.

While i acknowledge that the police who shot mr de menezes were doing a very difficult job at a very difficult time, the actions of the police following the shooting were an absolute disgrace. Within hours of the shooting ian blair was blaming the victim and proceeding to make a bunch of baseless accusations, such as mr de menezes being challenged by police then fleeing. It was not until weeks later from a leaked report that the truth came out. The behaviour of the police screams coverup.

Well, I am Brazilian and while I get stunned whit what happens in my country everyday I too got really shocked by the video of Menezes shooting.
I saw the video in our equivalent of BBC and he was wearing a simple open jacket and no backpack. He was not warned and he was actually executed.
Brazil is the largest chatolic country in the world – 95% of the population. While we have a mixture of etnicits, most of the population has darker skin. But definetly not arabic. (Not that an execution of an arabian whould be by anymean justifible!) If happened whit a Brazilian it can happen whit anyone.
I was going to fly from London to NY in the day of 2006 flights episode and I realize what means be scared. But being scared do not justify execution. Not in Brazil, not in England, not in any civilized country!

As someone who came from place that suffered from terrorism I can promise you there is a huge difference.
The policeman is there to protect you (I assume you are innocent by passer), The terrorist is there to kill you.
After there is 1 or 2 attacks on the train and you will be unlucky enough to have to use the train, believe me that you will pray there is a policeman around and in the moment of truth he will be fast and determent enough to act.
