Ship Simulator 2008 New Horizons-FLT

People from FLT released the add-on (yes, you need the original Ship Simulator 2008 to play, released by PROCYON, click here) for the Ship Simulator 2008 game. I never really have time for sims, but I know many people like it so here it is. This expansion pack includes multiplayer, but you’ll need a legal key if you want to play multi. The rest of the add-on pack exists of the usual stuff – more ships, more weather conditions, more missions etc.

Game information:
Try your hand at sailing a luxury cruise liner & a classic yacht or feel the
impact of the waves as you guide your fishing vessel home through a storm!
New Horizons offers new highly realistic environments and adds eight exciting
new vessels for your sailing pleasure. Includes 20 all new missions and
free roaming multiplayer mode too! The add-on will require the original game
to run and will automatically upgrade any version of Ship Simulator 2008
with all previous updates and patches.

• Eight new vessels for Ship Simulator 2008, including a modern harbour tug
with advanced azimuth thrusters and a push boat with 4 different cargo
barges
• Online multiplayer free-roaming action, including towing.

    I have also installed patch 1.42 and al off the posted keys won’t work.
    Is there anyone with a working version of shipsim 1.42?

    I’m just checking.. how many meters can the waves be in the new version “New Horizonty” ?

    Does ANYONE have a working key for this once you apply the 1.42 update??? The posted keys work until you update and then only the main key works. The addon key doesn’t anymore.

    I have the ss 2008 v 1.0 and i just downloaded the new horizons. But when im about o start the game it asks me for a cd key(it have worked to play befor i installed new horizons). Where can i dl he 1.3 or he 1.4 patch?? give me a working link plzz…!

    I bought SS2008 version 1.1 and then updated to 1.4.2 and tried using New Horizons, but when I start it it says “questviewer error.” and it closes. Is there anyway around this so I can make new horizons work?

    I had Ship Simulator 2008 running a hour ago then i installed the 1.4.2 patch now i get a new icon on the desktop and when i open the game it asks me for another license key so what I’m guessing is that the game itself connected to an online server to check my current key and found that it has been used on too much PC’s and canceled my key (Does that sound familiar Windows XP does the same thing too) the original 1.0 game cant go online but the 1.4.2 can using multiplayer that is what proves this theory.

    Edgarodio you must have a orginal cd key ss2008 to play online. And you must registred this game with this cd key.

    I have installed Ship Sim 1.42 using dtzev-zdzzv-hvt72-4cftz-496ay which works fine. I have now added New Horizons and tried to unlocvk it with all the keys posted on this forum with no luck. Does anyone have a key for NH 2008 installed as an add on with v1.42? If so please post… Thanks

    I have a method of installing update 1.4.2 without changing the serial – Backup rgc.sraVlabolG which located on the ShipSim2008 main folder before installing the 1.4.2 updates.

    Just found a new serial for the ss 2008 by mixing two serials.
    MFKMY-DDDZV-AA4MZ-CCB64-VFDKZ
    It really worked! (But I haven't tried it for new horizons).

    - I have a method of installing update 1.4.2 without changing the serial -

    1."BEFORE installing the 1.4.2 updates"
    Backup or Copy the file "GlobalVars.cgr" which located on the ShipSim2008 main folder and just paste that on ur desktop.

    2.Install the update 1.4.2

    3.After finish installation. just put back the Backup file "GlobalVars.cgr" on the main folder of ShipSim2008.

    And u are DONE…ENJOY!!!!!

    Ummmmm ya so i got 1.4.2 serial code working but it got to that wierd vid at start finished that and it froze so i restarted and it just keeps freezing

    I REALLY WANT YOU GUYS DO THIS:
    Install ss2008 and register. Copy all files (not folders) located in C:\Program Files\Vstep\ShipSim2008 and save them whereever you like… Install everything you want after that and dont care about serials not allowing you to use some content…copy the previously saved files and go back to C:\Program Files\Vstep\ShipSim2008…paste them there…
    DONE!!
    (try different versions of this method: It works!!)
    (the key here is to copy all files (not folders) located in C:\Program Files\Vstep\ShipSim2008 at hte beggining or at some point where you have no problem with serials… I even could change the language and install other stuff like sounds…)

    I have find the way to play Shipsim 2008 V1.42 with the add-on New horizons.
    First install the game V1.0 with this cd-key:MFKMY-DDDZV-TBZ7V-FAFTZ-AT4MZ
    then backup the file “GlobalVars.cgr” and install the New Horizons add on and drop a copy of the GlobalVars.cgr in the game folder and use this cdkey to activate the addon:FMTTV-6V4DV-AA4MZ-CCB64-VFDKz
    After this backup again the globalvars.cgr and install the patch and finally copy this backup in the game folder.

    here is the trick to get 1.4.2 ss08
    1.install the 1.0
    serial: dtzev-zdzzv-kvt7z-4cftz-496ay
    2.install 1.4.2
    serial: just change the kvt7l (l)letter L
    then that’s it!

    I get the same problem as other people have posted around the net. I get “a channel that is needed for this product has an incorrect engine version”. Then is ask’s if i want to upgrade, and after i do it’s the same. Just like other people are saying. It’s a quest3d error….but i’ve sent email to them and the game and neither will reply. These guys are crooks.

    Hi guys i’ve tried everything said above but nothing could be done with ship simulator 2008 v1,42. Everything is ok until i install the New Horizons where the screen turns blue, when i start the game, with the above copy-paste methods. Only if i setup ship simulator 2008 and then the New Horizons normally with their well known codes i can play the game but as you can understand if i setup then the patch 1.42 i must have the code for it…what can i do??

    Guys found the solution! The required license key for the update v1.4.2 is: dtzev-zdzzv-hvt72-4cftz-496ay as it is, with caps lock off.
