Sex And The City TS PROPER XViD-nDn

Nobody else seemed to post this, so I guess I will. The previous telesync release was nuked for ‘gmc.not.allowed’, I believe GMC is a custom quant matrix which is not allowed. So nDn brings us a telesync of Sex And The City (also their very first telesync release), it appears that this release has already been nuked ‘reencode.from.PFD.source’. The Video is decent, does indeed look like the PFD release, but cleaned up a great deal. Audio seems hollow and seems like the audio source was a lower bitrate than what is it was encoded at as the audio sounds like your listening underwater, but none the less its direct audio and is decent.

Plot: Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), successful author and everyone’s favourite fashion icon next door is back, her famously sardonic wit intact and sharper than ever as she continues to narrate her own story about sex, love and the fashion obsessed single women in New York City. “Sex and the City: The Movie” finds Carrie, Samantha (Kim Cattral), Charlotte (Kirstin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) four years after the much loved television show ended. The girls continue to juggle jobs and relationships while navigating motherhood, marriage and Manhattan real estate. Chris Noth reprises the iconic role as Carrie’s handsome yet elusive Mr Big. Miranda’s husband Steve (David Elgenberg)is also back as is Charlotte’s dependable man Harry.

    Pretty much. And some “witty” dialogue between them.

    I was watching Jimmy Kimmel (not smart, but it’s no the dumbest thing I’ve done), and Cynthia Nixon was on; they showed a clip of them on vacation, during which they were arguing over how important it is to get a Brazilian wax.
    [If you don't know what that is, look it up.]

    It seems kind of stupid to me but chicks like it, so whatever.

    To further why GMC is not allowed is to ensure compatibility with standalones, only very few newer decoders allow for it, the XViD and DiVX implementations are not identical and due to the fact earlier implementations were not stable across the different XViD code branches, which can result in issues when decoding with decoders compiled using alternate code branches.

    e.g. The Red Dragon – ViTE Pre, circa ‘03, when decoded with a different branch you’d get a green tinge to image for the entirety of the film.

    How many people care about three 40-50 year old women [pretending to 10 years younger] trying to find “LOVE” in New York after striking out for ten years. . Bringing back these ladies 4 years later is really hard to watch. I’m just not that interested in watching a weathered 52 year old pretending to have sex with a 25 year old underwear model, or watching Carrie get stiffed for the 100th time in 10 years, or watching a hardened lesbian pretend to be married and have kids. Add to that an actress who is a lot closer to 60 than 50, and I’m just not that interested. No amount of video quality can fix this story for me, or the premise, or make the actresses 35 and cute again. The last time this show was interesting, Bill Clinton had just been re-elected.

    Rated as a TS
    For a TS, not bad.
    Burned to DVD.
    There are compression artifacts, particularly in the dark scenes.
    But there are few dark scenes.
    Color and mono audio is very good for a TS
    Some camera adjustment in the first minute, but after that, camera gets almost full picture and is shot straight on, no bad angles or shakes here.
    No audience noises or obstructions either.
    Very watchable quality.

    As to the movie itself….
    meh… I’d seen some episodes, so I was mildly curious but had no interest in paying to see it in a theater… so this is fine.
