Scene group ARiSCO brings us another new movie from Latin America: Brazilian thriller Sem Controle from director Cris D’amato. The audio is obviously Portuguese, but there are English and Spanish subtitles attached.

In Sem Controle Eduardo Moscovis is Danilo, a stage director obsessed with the injustice committed against XIX century farmer Manoel da Motta Coqueiro, case that initiated the process of extinction of death penalty in Brazil. Incited by a beautiful and mysterious woman, Danilo takes a fateful decision. He stages a play about the case with himself as Motta Coqueiro and psychiatric patients playing all the other parts. When the borders between reality and fantasy start to blend, Danilo relives the historical facts in first person, all the time conscious of the tragic doom of his character. Full with uncommon characters and surprising turns, Sem Controle approaches the issue of death penalty in a refreshing new perspective.

    I didn`t know there was a scene group here. Lol for the name of the group, Arisco is a name of a company of foods, like ketchup, tomato source, etc.. lol
    I don`t like movies here in Brazil, but, whatever. lol

    For those of you who said crap go and watch some hollywood blockbuster with the hero and the same bloody story lines. Leave your brain at rest like usual. For all of you who think GOOD cinema is something else this one is for you. GO and download it. Thumbs up for Brazilian cinema from a Portuguese speaking (European though) brother.
