Today SiNNERS released the 720p BluRay Rip for the classic 1995 movie “Se7en”. (Group CYBERMEN released it before, but according to SiNNERS, that one is nothing but trash, read NFO for more info) This movie was directed by David Fincher and written by Andrew Kevin Walker. The story follows a retiring detective (Morgan Freeman) and his replacement (Brad Pitt), jointly investigating a series of ritualistic murders inspired by the seven deadly sins. Size is 1.5 DVD-5, if you want to add to your archive, just grab it.

PLOT: Lt. William Somerset, a burnt-out veteran cop, is on the brink of retirement. Forced to train his ambitious and eager replacement, Somerset is teamed with Detective David Mills on an investigation that draws these disparate cops deeper and deeper into the twisted world of a cunning and meticulous criminal. He is methodical, exacting and grotesquely creative. He is known as John Doe and he is the most vicious serial killer alive, fashioning murders based on the seven deadly sins. As each new victim is discovered, the detectives must combine their collective experiences to track the trail of a killer bent on seeking attrition for society’s sins.

    I'll stick with CYBERMAN's rip… to say "you see more which you aren't supposed to" seems a little odd. I myself enjoy OAR… if the camera man shot it… you are supposed to see it.

    this version looks cropped missing a lot from the top and bottom… even the edges a bit

    Personally I prefer 1.8 aspect ratios. I like having the whole screen filled in instead of the black bars.

    So did SiNNERS just take the original Blu-Ray video with 1.78 AR and crop it?
    It seems the Canadian version of the Blu-Ray has 1.78 AR, but when it comes out in the US it won't. So I guess it's preference.
    The same happened when Gladiator came out on Blu-Ray. The HDTV (ESiR) version had 1.78, but the Blu-Ray rip had the bars on the top/bottom.

    Fantastic movie, one of my absolute favorites. Don't go looking too hard for information on this one, because there's a big name actor who goes uncredited and appears as a total surprise.

    "I myself enjoy OAR… if the camera man shot it… you are supposed to see it." You obviously have no idea how it works. They always shoot more than you are seeing in the final product and in post-production the director chooses, which part of the picture you are supposed to see. The director of Se7en made this movie in 2.35:1, and that is the original aspect ratio of the movie, 1.78:1 is not.
