Se7en 1995 720p BluRay x264-CYBERMEN

Another great movie released in 720p BluRay Rip today, thanks to CYBERMEN. “Se7en” is a 1995 American crime film directed by David Fincher and written by Andrew Kevin Walker. The story follows a retiring detective and his replacement, jointly investigating a series of ritualistic murders inspired by the seven deadly sins. Just like last night’s “Primal Fear”, this one deserves watching again.

PLOT: Lt. William Somerset, a burnt-out veteran cop, is on the brink of retirement. Forced to train his ambitious and eager replacement, Somerset is teamed with Detective David Mills on an investigation that draws these disparate cops deeper and deeper into the twisted world of a cunning and meticulous criminal. He is methodical, exacting and grotesquely creative. He is known as John Doe and he is the most vicious serial killer alive, fashioning murders based on the seven deadly sins. As each new victim is discovered, the detectives must combine their collective experiences to track the trail of a killer bent on seeking attrition for society’s sins.

    This is terrible. Just looked at the sample, this is not in cinemascope 2.35:1 as it should be. This is 1.78:1 only. Forget it.

    The guy who changed the aspect ratio from 2.35:1 to 1.78:1 should be stabbed in the eyes 7 times. How can anyone do that to a David Fincher movie?

    @24

    I know, I compared with the DVD, but that doesn't make it right. Fincher has never made any movie other than cinemascope. "Se7en" was never meant to be seen other than in cinemascope. When the Newline Platinum Series DVD came out, remastered, based on the original negative with corrected framing and color correction as well, it was all supervised by Darius Khondji, the D.P., and Fincher himself and it was obviously cinemascope just like in theaters. Changing the director point of view is a total scandal. It's as if they had changed the format of a John Carpenter movie, when you know his love for cinemascope. This is great cinema diserving the greatness of cinemascope format. "Se7en" is one of the best movies ever, for God's sake! How can they ruin it like this? Actually, the guy who changed the format should be stabbed 7 times in each eye.
