I haven’t had the chance to watch this movie as i brought the DVD a few years ago. Al Pacino won an  Oscar for his role as Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in this movie. Scent of a Woman is a 1992 film which tells the story of a preparatory school student who takes a job as an assistant to an irascible, blind, medically retired Army officer. It stars Al Pacino, Chris O’Donnell, James Rebhorn, Gabrielle Anwar, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It is a remake of a movie made by Dino Risi in 1974, Profumo di donna, in which Vittorio Gassman played one of his best known roles.

In New Hampshire, Charlie Simms attends the Baird School, an all boys boarding school with rigorous classes and expensive enrollment. Yearning for cash from a part-time job so he can return to his family in Oregon for upcoming Christmas Break, the innocent Simms accepts a job for “babysitting” at a nearby household. The job is not what he expects, for he is commissioned to watch over an unlikeable, blunt behaved blind ex-colonel named Slade who has a keen ability at selecting his aides. Because of his sympathetic and integral nature, Charlie agrees to the job. Before he can even locate his level of comfort in the job, Simms is unexpectedly taken to New York City with the colonel, where the ex-military man has several agendas of his own.

    I thought the movie title was PACINO at first by looking at the cover. Pretty cheap marketing tactics having the font in his name bigger and more noticible than the actual title of the movie.

    Pachino showed his class in this.

    We don't see fresh and sweet petite feminine faces like anwar's (at that time) in the media these days. most of the leading feamale faces are a bit masculine. Gradually the meaning of the word "sexy" is purposely being transformed into "slutty". It's a sad time when mediocrity is ruling over excellence. :(

    Awesome movie!! One of the best Pacino has ever done, his performance as a blind person is so convincing, very well directed and touching, a must movie for all!! :)

    Movie is great. amazing performance. tom hanks should get an oscar for his role. Pacino actually was blind in this movie due to choking his chicken cos of the scent from that women until he found her and his sight was restored. Same thing happend in scarface when Evida left him. There is supposed to be a sequel to scarface in 2010 called scar corpse. People who do this really go blind.

    I can't find the torrent for this anywhere.. literally

    Yes I prefer torrents for many reasons, such as you can pause/stop/restart one whenever you want vs a single file download like rapidshare which is worthless if your pc reboots or the net goes out b/c when you try to continue you have to start from the beginning.I'm not knocking anything that's not a torrent, torrents are just my preference.

    I can't find the torrent. If the scene group doesn't put it up as a torrent, how can one say it is released. That's like me ripping and keeping it on my hard drive and telling you I did it.
