Saving Planet Earth S01E05 WS PDTV XviD-iNGOT

Tonight Saving Planet Earth follows journalist Carol Thatcher who explains to us the endangered situation of the albatross. But the feathery friends are being pushed to extinction by long line fishing. It uses baited hooks which can attract diving albatross, as well as fish, and the birds are dragged under water and drowned. Over 20 per cent of the population on Steeple Jackson has been lost in the past 20 years. Across the world, an albatross is lost every five minutes due to long line fishing and it is thought that 100,000 birds drown each year. But with only seven Task Force officers to police the whole of the southern ocean, many boats are still to learn about these new methods. There is however, a small problem with the iNGOT release. It has not made its way onto torrents but is avail on usenet. Update: thanks to EZTV they have made avail the scene quality versions by iNGOT that were a little hard to find.

Celebrities investigate the issues, search out solutions and see how we can all be involved in saving planet earth’s wildlife. Journalist Carol Thatcher visits the Falkland Islands to meet the Black-browed Albatross. She discovers that these long distance flyers mate for life and travel hundreds of miles in search of a meal. However, an estimated 100,000 albatross are being caught and drowned on fishing hooks every year, and at this rate they’re headed for extinction.
