For one the fact that she is the most popular governor in the united states, which obviously says something about the women, secondly all you dumb asses need to realize that not everyone is concerned with big city populous politics, I live in a moderately small town and I care about what the government is gonna do for me and people in my area, the U.S. is a strong country because of the hard work of it’s average everyday citizens not because of the big city liberal policies that have wrecked states like Michigan

I see the difference between Palin and Obama as this:
There are a hell of a lot of people that picked Obama to run. Palin was a surprise by McCain. I think that if the race was only Obama vs. McCain, then McCain would have a very hefty lead because of all his experience. Unfortunately, I believe that an Obama/Biden ticket FAR outweighs a McCain/Palin ticket. I’m not saying the woman is not smart, she’s far from being stupid. But she is not nearly as qualified enough or professional enough to lead the country in case anything, God forbid, should happen to McCain.
I think that if McCain had not gone for the obvious ploy to get women voters, he would have probably won, but things are looking slim right about now.
And to the two people arguing: My GOD. GET OVER IT! Jeez. I’m sure that at least half of that is the democratic (liberal) media and the other half is the republican’s trying to cover their ass. Nobody is perfect. Palin and Obama both have good points and bad points. Palin is not an imbecile. But if we COMPARE the candidates and not just spout off crap about each individual, I’d have to give it to the democratic ticket this time around.

SNL has definitely gotten better although it’s still pretty weak. At least their political sketches have finally started to show some of the guts and smarts that used to be a feature of the show in the 70s and 80s. I mean PUH-LEAZE, the report was posted in every blinking newspaper and you could clearly read where the report found Palin did not do anything wrong or against her authority, nor did they find any evidence that she ordered the firing or that the order came from her office, yet you made that exact claim. Even the librarian in her home town stated that Palin never asked nor ordered her to remove any books, and no other library in Alaska has made that statement either and in fact they all to a person denied it. Yet you stated that it happened, so were did you or your source get this so-called proof if the librarians say it never happened? And I suppose that you believe that she left her town in debt and would claim as much, yet neglect to mention that the debt was because of a citizen voted construction project that passed by 20 votes, and this is documented. She had no choice but to start the project. You claimed that she had no experience in foreign policy, yet you neglected to name one instance that NObama has in the same area. You also said she was not experienced enough to be VP but ignored the glaring error that she has more experience then, as Jason said; Carter and Clinton and both of them were elected President and Carter never held any government office in his life till he was elected and that fishy, is documented fact as well.
Seems that you can dish out the accusations but when you are demande to prove them, you get all defensive in the hopes that they will lay off you as you are quoting, again as Jason proved; the far left wing nutcase that runs the Daily Kos, otherwise known on the web as the Daily Kooks. And I noticed that you stayed very far away from the fact that Palin has an 80%+ approval rating in Alaska so she must be doing something right, and NObama-Biden and McCain ceom from a group that has a lower approval rating then even President Bush has! Congress’s approval rating as of yesterday was 9% (actually it was 8.8% but I will give them enough to make it 9%) and Bush’s approval rating was at 35%. And Palin’s approval ratings are across the board from Democrats and Republicans alike, cant say the same about NObama or Biden the plagerist now can you?
And one more thing you really need to check out, NObama is under federal election commission investigation for felony campaign fraud for accepting close to 180 million dollars from foreign nationals who are not American citizens, and if he is charged and found guilty, he must by federal law..resign any elected post he has as well as never being able to run for or hold an elected office ever again as his political career will be over. So you can dis Palin all you want with faked statements, but at least she is not looking at a possible 40 year prison sentence and a 5 million dollar fine like NObama is if he is found guilty of accepting illegal campaign donations. I thought it was great watching the SNL cast make fun of Sarah Palin right in front of her. I thought that they might tone it down a bit since she was actually on the show, but no, and she took it like a real champ.
I haven’t heard from the polls, but if her popularity has gone up since this episode aired, I think I’ll probably lose my faith in mankind.
The idea that this “small town” mentality is good for America is absolutely ridiculous. That’s like saying a farmer would make a good lawyer because he’s milked a cow before. What would make a good lawyer is a solid education.
Now, I don’t know about the rest of you, but when a person that should theoretically be one of the smartest people in America (you do want the smartest to lead, right?), is using words like “you betcha” and doing stupid things like appearing on this episode of SNL just to say she wouldn’t participate in a sketch that’s making fun of her… it really makes one wonder about the intellect of the rest of the nation.
