Hello, I just came back from theatre watching Will Smith’s “Seven Pounds”. Honestly, a little disappointed, it should have been better. Anyway, back to the topic. I know many of you like this show “Saturday Night Live”. And as you know, it’s already season 34 this year. If you want to know what the show looks like at its early running, say 1978 or 1979, here is a chance to you by FFNDVD. A DVDRip pack of season 4, altogether 20 episodes. i don’t know, i’ve just never been a fan of SNL. i just don’t think it’s that funny.
and fortunately for us the opinion of a guy with the name of “sss” isn’t worth much.
SNL isnt a talk show … Montel and Oprah are talk shows, SNL would be sketch comedy…

Guys, this is the last year with Ackroyd and Belushi [before he passed away] and this is a Classic rip. Many of you won’t have a clue who I’m talking about but most of this material is ageless. Considering the quality of most of the recent movies posted here, this is a safe bet. Trust me, most of you will love this stuff…

I think SSS is right about SNL not being particularly funny, to give it the benefit of the doubt, but he shouldn’t write that into the indefinite past. This last year of the ’70s crew will contain a lot of great and insightful skits. These folks were part of the ’60s and early ’70s comedy revival, very much a product of those times. SNL started heading downhill fast when they left (or died). At that point Lorne Michaels brought in Eddie Murphy and apparently forced him, in his first night or two on the program, to do a long rip of black directors who had made the so-called blaxploitation films. It was grossly insensitive to the racism they faced in the film industry and had to be humiliating for Murphy, but it was pure Michaels. He’s a pig.
