Sandboxie v3.22 Incl Keymaker-EMBRACE

Christian first posted about this program a fair while ago, and now EMBRACE are back again with a fresh, updated version of Sandboxie. I highly suggest reading Christian’s article for more info on this program as it is very handy for many, MANY tasks. On a side note, this programis actually free, but you can use EMBRACE’s keygen to register, but I’m not sure if you get any benefits from registering.

Sandboxie allows you to run your browser, or any other program, so that all changes that result from the usage are kept in a sandbox environment, which can then be deleted later. This allows you to remove traces of your internet or PC activities, as well as reverse any changes to your Favorites, home page, registry and more. Even files that were downloaded during a sandbox session will be wiped after the sandbox is cleared. The program runs in the system tray and if you want to start a sandboxed session, simply launch your browser, or any other program via the tray icon, rather than the regular way.

I don’t know about slowing your PC, but if you use this, then download malware into the sandbox, it WILL NOT get to your hard drive. Once you delete the sandbox, it is gone.

Finally, Lee hits the jackpot. I haven’t formatted windows in over 6 months because of this program. Great for running keygens & testing software applications.

Thanks for this. The previous free version had a 5 second start up nag screen after 30 days unless you registered so I assume this is similar. Brilliant for running keygens and testing downloaded progs. Run your browser in it for extra security

I love this app, I’ve been using it for ages. I totally recommend getting this, it will save you a lot of grief if you accidentally run some bad program like some of those auto-executing RAR files that has that sh1tty crack.exe or patch.exe crap in them.

I wonder when firefox will make a browser that is always being ran in a sandbox environment. Scratch that, why not windows? What about internet explorer? scratch that, why not make it mandatory for all programs to be ran in a sandbox.

I love the program but I didn’t remember there was a paid version. I just thought there was a free version. What does the paid subscription do that the free version does not do?

This is off-topic and I have said this before but I keep getting trojan warnings from nod32 on the main site. Is this nothing to worry about?

    Joke aside, VirusTotal results here:

(only 2 out of 32 found it suspicious)

I wonder if this app still affects Hamachi. Once I uninstalled it Hamachi worked again properly and I was able to see people on LAN games again. I tested by reinstalling and sure enough Hamachi was broken.

Hopefully this new revision fixes problems with Hamachi.

Although, people can run a virtual box too with VMware or wtf the name was.. easier to like test.

    @DeerDance

My system’s pretty low end, and it doesn’t slow it down the slightest bit. Probably because its slow a$$ can’t get any slower anyway. ;)

The registered version gets rid of the 5 second nag screen, as well as giving you the following “benefits”:

Which features are unlocked in the registered version?

In the registered version, Sandboxie can be configured to issue a warning SBOX1118 whenever a particular program is launched outside the sandbox.

You can also configure Sandboxie to automatically sandbox particular programs, even when they are not launched explictly through Sandboxie.

Since version 2.47, registered users can run sandboxed programs in any number of sandboxes at the same time, while non-registered users can run sandboxed programs in only one sandbox at a time.

Personally, I would just run Sandboxie in a sandbox – then your trial period will never end!

Don’t be a noob,They don’t release viruses.Maybe you’ve downloaded an infected keygen by someone else with theyir logo on it which happens frequently on p2p sites. They releases are great.Nero and sandboxie are 2of my favourite apps, that i use thanks to them.
