Salt The Wound – Carnal Repercussions [2008]

FNT brings you the first Full Length album by Cleveland based Melodic Death/Metalcore band Salt The Wound. This is pretty good headbanging material all the way through but don’t expect anything revolutionary. The chanting at the end of “Gloves” was pretty interesting, apart from that nothing new really. Great drums throughout and the vocalist managed a deeper growl than I had expected. Sadly underground titles like these rarely appear on public trackers so you will have to rely on some rs links.

“Salt the Wound” was founded September 11, 2001 by original drummer Jim Agrippe and guitarist/vocalist Mike Kawkabany. THe band continued as a duo until the addition of Kevin Schaefer as vocalist with Vince Stropki soon to follow on bass guitar. Jake Scott was added as a second guitar player in September of 2005 and soon became the only guitar player. As this quartet grew in popularity (STW) toured all through the tri-state area in support of their 2005 release “Bedpsprings and Bloodshed”.

Horns up for Rlslog! It’s about time you covered some metal releases. I’ll check this out when I get home from work. Hopefully this isn’t one of those “metal” bands that sings with clean vocals. I hate that, unless it’s Between The Buried and Me. They get a pass.

things made with intruments is music, things made with computers aren’t real music
I can appreciate metal, but not those nu-metal/metlcore/hardcore “bad-ass” type wannabees

real metal like Impaled Northen Moonforest!
but then again metal will be metal..

so Punk (80’s HC, Street, Beton, Crust) will be better
    and freetek 4 life!

people should stop complaining — if you arent interested in the post then dont waste your time and everyone elses time by leaving a comment — as a matter of fact if you dont want metal topics on RLSLOG then dont leave a comment, the more comments they get (positive or negative), the more hits RLSLOG gets, therefore they will post more metal if it gets comments, even if they are negative

but for the record — i say keep it coming with the metal

lol.. when are these kids going to realize that tattoos on neck are only cool where you’re young. very few people can pull off the look by the time they hit 40. most just end up looking very trashy.

Thanks RLSlog for the music post. I’d like to see more of these types of postings. Of course some people don’t like this kind of music but then again, not everyone likes to watch cartoons do they? I don’t go on the Bee Movie thread ranting about how much those kinds of movies suck.

very unpleased with the quality of this mix. played it through ns-10s, guitar is overpowering everything. the bottom is of the mix is non existent, drums are just not there.. ns-10’s dont lie..
