This is pretty pathetic. USB is plug and play. You don’t need anything special to manage USB flash drives.

Does it help to deal with viruses that reside on the USB?
or do we still an antivirus from the list here:http://www.antivirus.org.il/ ?

The name is: USB Safely Remove.

I use it for quite awhile now and it’s very nice lil program. It does what it advertises and I like that. Especially removing empty drive letters from card reader – otherwise you have to do this manually with Drive manager. If *you* only use USB thumb drives then this is not a program for you. I use many USB HDD’s…

@6, @8, @11, @12: Well, I use it for some time and I find it useful. First, beside every flash drive there is detailed description of device, so you won’t accidentally disconnect the wrong one (I usually have more than two USB drives at the same time). Second, it hides empty drives on card readers, so I don’t have 4-5 unneeded drive letters (unneeded until I put card in it). And (luckily) it doesn’t deal with viruses (who needs yet another antivirus?). For that, just turn off the damn USB autostart from MS PowetToys and use regular antivirus…
