Sacred 2 was released by RELOADED ofcourse, about an hour ago. Never played the first but it does look pretty cool, reminds me of the Diablo games. Although i highly doubt i am going to grab this game (Looks at the file size) as its 19.91GB WTF?!?! :\
T Energy has been flowing through Ancaria since time itself. This mysterious power forms the beginning of all life, is the source of all magic and the origin of all thought. For an era, it was the angelic Seraphim who watched over the T Energy and therefore over the fate of the entire world. They passed their knowledge on to the High Elves, so that they could benefit from T Energy. But the High Elves let the power over T Energy tear their society apart, and war and strife broke out. 20 gigs for a game? Super Mario 64 was like 58 megabites and one of the most fun games i have ever played…. that makes this game like 50 billion times better then that right off the bat!

I downed the first one that came out about a week ago. It reminded me of Hellgate London, in the fact that playing it by yourself is like trying to get laid without a chick (ie its possible, but it just isnt the same… 0.o).
I really REALLY do NOT like RPG games that have no story. You get this extremely shallow starting quest related to your profession which, I suppose, forces you to play the game in an “open world” type of ideology. But it seems an RPG without linear gameplay is actually really lame…

Once the game is installed, I’d be looking at close to 40GB total. Harddrive space is cheaper now than ever, but 40GB is getting close to the point where I’d feel like buying the game would almost make economic sense.

To the guy complaining because it’s an open world .. so is GTAIV, one of the best games around.
For anyone who likes RPGs, try this one. I already tried the improperly cracked WARG version. It feels a lot like a solo version of WOW. That means no more elite dungeons that you can’t play because it’s only set up for teams. The game felt really great and looked great too. ANd it’s all accessible to a solo player.
REALLY looking forward to this one.

There was a collectors edition and regular edition. The difference ; graphics (and some other things). This is just the collectors edition I would assume that has the better graphics. If you do not intend to use max setting it would be best just to get the UK version then.

My game worked fine, you probably didn’t get a right crack or something (well not really a crack). All you have to do to bypass the trial thing is use the securom delete thing. There is some other crack to that makes it so you get exp after a certain level (without it you only get 1xp per kill after a certain level).
Lots of people had problems but they were all solved very easily, if you still can’t solve them its because you are a moron.

@35 yup you’r right. So far i was playing the game with 2.10 patch only with s2logic file and delsecurom thing … but with patch 2.12.00 i couldn’t get over lvl 20 coz of the little thing that pops up in game and says you have ilegal version … now it’s working properly

The entire game is normally “only” 12 gigs (one duallayer and one single layer dvd), but the Elite GFX DVD is second Duallayer dvd, that’s what makes the release so big. Those textures are not needed to play, only there if you really want to get the best possible texture quality when you see things up close much ^^

Why can’t i never get the game to go to Elite Graphics? I already installed the elite graphics expansion. Everytime i click Elite graphics the game freezes
this game is a BIG load of crap…zero customization of your character, you can’t pitch your camera so you’re looking to the ground most of the time, if you use the camera hack, you will find out there’s no sky…
the environment looks ok, the characters look fugly

I can move my camera just fine, you must be handicapped or something if you can’t :/
You are right on the character customization, you can’t change the physical appearance of your character but with all the armor and weapons in the game I kind of overlooked that because it wouldn’t really matter what you look like once you have all your armor on, plus the weapons look bad ass.

How do you update the game?
If you guys really do not want to download the 20 gigs and are curious about the gameplay. Sacred 2 FA demo is now out and the game SUCKS. I really enjoyed the gameplay from Sacred 1, BUT this release is a total failure.

You download a crack only pack and there you find a file that is not present in crack only packs, so how did you get the file if its not present in the packs, thats like finding gold in thin air!

I was a fan of Sacred, but this makes no sense. 20gb? what are they thinking…Its like Fallout 3, red alert and NFS all together
reading all those comments considering dl weight of 20gb … i can’t help but think that all people complainig are either <15y old who never had to earn money or they get it from their parents and don’t know (or don’t care) that not so long ago we couldn’t download everything with high speed and for free or they lack the meaning of the word FREE.
nobody forces you to dl this or any other future release that will be 20+ gb, feel free to order, or even better, WALK to local store and BUY it!
if you look at all releases on rlslg.net from that point of view “IT’S FREE TO DOWNLOAD (but ilegal)” than every game ever listed here is GREAT.
it’s your choice to dl or not but it’s utterly stupid to moan about size of rls … i don’t get it.
Sacred 2 is good enough to prove it’s value as FREE downloaded stuff … over time it becomes repetitive but I can’t remember any rpg that isn’t.
I wanted my mind clear as to why some CE textures were bugged and what not in the game.
So I bought a CE version and did an install…I have 2 partitions on my pc so I installed a copy on both partitions then I started to compare the 2 games with a comparison software.
I was able to find out that the regular game as 3 levels of graphic quality, high, medium and low. In the game they are under folders called HQ, MQ and LQ.
But I was astounded to discover that the game uses graphics from the 3 ranges of quality at the same time to make the game. Because the way the folders are laid out in your pc.
In the CE version the textures folders are pretty much stand alone but the folder structure is different, the files amount is different and the size of some of them are different as well as the naming convention for the texture files.
So because of the difference in the folder system, naming convention of CE you will get graphic bugs for sure because the game is trying to associate textures that have a different name to a 3d model in the game. The fact that the folder structure and naming convention is different does not help at all.
What puzzles me even more is that sacred offers 3 basic settings of quality but they amount to be the same no matter what option of the 3 you would use because they take their graphics from the same pools all the time…I would say the difference is in the rendering engine.
It is pretty clever programming if you ask me but the CE will remain a mess unless they issue a patch that addresses the file patch issues in the game….i guess this is not a big priority for them right now and I do not see this corrected anytime soon but here it is…Sacred 2 deep dark secret!!!!!!

@EarlZ, your crack is not working regular. After 5-10 minutes the game returns to menu! You can play after that again 5-10 minutes. I’m using Vista x64 SP1.

Can someone help?
I’ve installed the game, installed both the updates and copied the content from the crack folder into the installed system folder. I double click on the shortcut to start the game, i see the sacred 2 logo and a bunch of green words on the left bottom corner… and it just stops there, i waited for 10 mins with nothing happening… the last line of the green words were something about “…connecting to the local server”. Is anyone having the same problem? any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

the loader from post #98 is working(except for xp 64 bit) for patch v2.13. there is a file name “sacred2_loader.exe” or something like that, use it instead of “sacred2.exe” and execute “delsecuromreg.exe” once a day. or you can read the “readme.txt” for complete instruction.i also waiting for a proper crack too.

Yes, Foihs. By the look of it you dont get any gold from completing quests. Small problem as not much gold is really gained from quests neway (500g or so, whereas most items are worth 2500g)
Will still be nice to see a proper scene release crack.

when i want to install the patch, it shows an error “sacred 2 was not found on your system, please reinstall the sacred 2″ but the game was installed, is anybody knows a solution for this?
Becouse you probably had a cracked this game u should always copy original files before you craked it if u dont have this files so you need reinstal game and instal all patches and then i had this same problem.

because i forget to execute delregsecurom.exe after playing this game, i had to reinstal my windows vista(TM) “D*** secuROM”.i have dark copy of this os too.i’m poor man from a poor country …one dolar almost equal to 20k…

which patch do you use v2.12 or v2.31?!
if v2.12, then use RELOADED crack (from the DVD).
if v2.31, then use loader from post #98 (not working for xp64).
new update 2.34 released, new items, new map and 20 new creature, new quests and new weapons has been added. 250 mb. so we need a new crack.

crack v2.34 by TRiViUM released is not a proper fix. Reloaded fix is currently the best. TRiViUM keeps the 'protection' in place which gets installed on your computer, if you get the hint. *cough*ソニ*cough*
