Sacco And Vanzetti is the name of new US documentary about two Italian immigrants, who were executed in 1927. The movie, which collected outstanding rankings in reviews offers insights into present-day issues of civil liberties and the rights of immigrants. It’s obviously not a movie for everyone, but if you are immigrant or know someone like this, this movie could be very interesting for you. The release comes on classic 1 CD with 2 channel AC3 audio.

Peter Miller directs this documentary about two Italian immigrant anarchists who were accused of murder in 1920 and executed seven years later. As Tony Shalhoub and John Turturro read the men’s prison writings, commentators including Howard Zinn, Arlo Guthrie, and Studs Terkel offer their insights into a story of bigotry, intolerance, and their impact.

    Why would this film not be for “everyone”? It’s a film about injustice and racial prejudice, not immigration or immigrants.

    Everyone should be concerned about a fair and just society.

    Its not for everyone because today people won’t be able to differentiate between the legal immigration that was ongoing 1920’s and the illegal immigration flood the U.S. is enduring currently.

    First of all, they weren’t killed only because of the fear of immigrants. It was part of the first Red Scare. They were persecuted for their beliefs in Anarchism. At the time bombings were rampant, Russian had just turned red a few years back. The rest of Europe was in civil war practically. It was more of the fear of bring revolution to America. Silly radicals coups are for kids.

    anywho…i love anything related to these guys…any trackers have this..checked pirate bay with no luck..trying demonoid in a min..onebigtorrent.com may have this, but i haven’t checked yet.

    ALSO anyone interested in some good reading on these guys, and so so so so so many more like them read Howard Zinn’s “The Peoples History of the United States”. Its pretty liberalish, but it’s still considered one of the best history books published in the past 30 years. If you see the size of the book and get scared get the “The Twentieth Century” book by Zinn. It’s just the 20th century cut out of the big book.

    You should buy it on DVD, which helps the filmmakers survive and make more films about subjects like this. It’s on Amazon.
