Here’s a nice surprise from popular Norwegian band Royksopp. Their very specific electronic music with elements of hip hop has fans all over the world and they are just about to release a new studio album Junior. Scene group pLAN9 obtained its copy 3 days before the street date so you can enjoy it right now – and I highly recommend it!

One of the most celebrated & innovative artists in the elctronic genre, Norway’s Royksopp return with the highly anticipated follow-up to their classic deubt Melody AM (an album named one of the best albums of 2001 by Rolling Stone, GQ, Entertainment Weekly, Jockey Slut and more) and The Understanding, which combined lush atmospherics with enthralling pop. JUNIOR is Royksopp’s most accomplished release yet, an inspired and ambitious musical confection fusing pure pop hooks with “technoperatic” dancefloor slammers. Featuring a team of top female vocalists/collaborators including Swedish superstar Robyn, Lykke Li, Karim Dreijer (The Knife) as well as fellow Norwegian Annell Drecker (who appeared on Royksopp’s debut Melody A.M.)

Junior is a forthcoming album from Norwegian duo Röyksopp, set for release on March 23, 2009. The new album has been described as a mix between the styles of the two previous studio albums, Melody A.M. and The Understanding, and features Robyn, Lykke Li, Karin Dreijer Andersson and Anneli Drecker.Röyksopp premiered the first single from the album, “Happy Up Here”, on January 9, 2009 on BBC Radio 1. The next single will be The Girl and the Robot, a song featuring Swedish singer Robyn.

    If you like this Cd, buy it ;) Røyksopp is great band! Allsow recommend Melody A.M. Its there best album!

    Who likes multiple mirrors? I do. I used Gazup to upload these to many hosters at a time. I haven't listened to the album yet, but I do like their stuff so hopefully this one will be good too.

    I've downloaded this album on the 14th of March already, and the mp3 files I've got have a steady bitrate of 320kbps.
    Hmmm.
    Anyways, it's a great album, it's abit groovy like their first album.
