Ross Copperman – Welcome to Reality (2007)

Artist Ross Copperman has released a new album today “Welcome to Reality”. This is another unknown artist to me so i don’t know much about him to say. This is another release from group uF so should expect good quality from them. I’m currently listening to some of his songs right now on myspace and in my opinion it’s okay, nothing special to me but some of you maybe like his music…some may not.

Ross Copperman is the artist to watch in 2007. Originally from Virginia, but signed to SonyBMG UK subsidiary, Phonogenic, and a resident in London, Ross’ sound is a cross between Coldplay and early Radiohead with the charisma of Robbie Williams; he has produced an album filled with killer melodies and choruses. ‘Welcome To Reality’ allows Ross to showcase his already recognised huge talent for writing songs with a ‘widescreen sound stage’ winning melodies, and solid vocals.

Ross Copperman (born 1983) is an American singer-songwriter. Copperman was born and grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, where his was one of few Jewish families. Copperman attended Glenvar High School in Roanoke County.

Copperman started to write songs in college at James Madison University. The first song he wrote was titled “Fly Away”, and it appears on his forthcoming studio debut album. He says that it was only after the urging of his teacher (who had listened to this song) that he was convinced to take up music professionally. After winning a few competitions, Copperman earned a 40-date US college tour.

Copperman cites his musical influences as Muse, Radiohead, Oasis, and Led Zeppelin, noticably all British musical acts. His debut album, Welcome to Reality, will be released May 28, 2007.

Another gay wannabe pretty boy with shitty publicity photos. I suppose the graffiti and the welcome to reality sign are suppose to make us think he’s down with it and cool when he’s just a plastic poster boy. Another poor example to the world which I won’t be listening to. But still look at the bright side at least the bastard won’t be having kids.

i can tell you with 100% certainty that ross isn’t gay (and no, i don’t know from experience). the kid’s got talent, no doubt and i give him mad props for doing something he loves. i’ve seen him play side by side with some of the best known jazz musicians in the business – no doubt he can hold his own and has the capacity to be original. certainly i can’t fault him for putting together an album that appeals to the masses – at least its better than jerkin off all day and writing idiotic, immature posts on some small website’s comment board. get a life.
