Rose Of Death 2007 DVDRip XviD-ELiA

Rose of Death is a cheap looking horror that probably isn’t what most people are interested in, but some of you are. The res on this release is, in my opinion, rather small which was done in order to get some average bitrate squeezed in there. Besides that enjoy it with Greek subs included.

On prom night ten years ago, a group of drunken friends go too far when trying to scare a couple of their fellow classmates. After accidentally killing one of them, they decide they have to kill the other one in order to cover up the crime and protect themselves and their futures. Now, ten years later, as they start coming together for their high school reunion, each member of the group is being picked off one by one by a ghostly killer as some sort of revenge from beyond the grave.

Anything released by Brain Damage= Instant Fail.

This plot has been done 1000 times before, when will these no budget DV filmmakers from the U.S south LEARN that we don’t want to see the same tired s*h**it. Hopefully it has some gore and tits but with this plot even that will barely keep you awake.

I always find it funny, rlslog assumptions on why releases are a certain way.

“The res on this release is, in my opinion, rather small which was done in order to get some average bitrate squeezed in there.”

Bitrate is based on TIME VS. SIZE. Nothing at all to do with Resolution. “Kilobytes per second” = “Data per time”. The res could be as big or small as the ripper makes it, and the “bitrate” will be the exact same!

lower res means the file is 700mb but an average bitrate, whats not to get? Higher res + higher bitrate would go over 700mb

    March 19th, 2008 | 04:30

    lmao @ Mike.

Res = Resolution = the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. EG: 592×336! Does not affect the BITRATE (DATA PER SECOND)

Changing the 700MB or Movie Length affects the bitrate! Changing the RES does not! Simple enough English to understand?

If this was released as the original 720 x 486 or the actual released res of 592 x 336, the Bitrate would still be the same!

    LOL

lol at duh who doesn’t get how resolution can affect the quality of a release at any given bitrate and length.

  14. March 20th, 2008 | 00:57

    @ 11

of course the bitrate would NOT be the same if this was released with a higher resolution and the same size. If that was the case than all the scene groups would do that.

  15. duh
    March 20th, 2008 | 05:53

lol, you just don’t understand, do you…. The BITRATE would not change. The sharpness of picture would be affected, but NOT BITRATE….. I repeat, NOT BITRATE…..

Doing a small res would make it appear a little sharper (and vice versa with bigger), but the BITRATE does not change with res……. Again, bitrate is datasize to time lengh….. lol

  16. duh
    March 20th, 2008 | 06:00

Let me put it even more simple….. Enlarge the res of an xvid on your pc monitor or tv, and the picture is less sharp, but the bitrate is not less…. Because it has nothing to do with re….

Read the definition of bit rate lol - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_rate

“is the number of bits that are conveyed or processed per unit of time”

“The bit rate is quantified using the ‘bits per second’ (bit/s or bps) unit, often in conjunction with a SI prefix such as kilo- (kbit/s or kbps), mega- (Mbit/s or Mbps), giga- (Gbit/s or Gbps) or tera- (Tbit/s or Tbps).”

LOL get it???? Bitrate has NOTHING what so ever to do with res…. Thus why i made the orignal comment about you saying they change the res to raise the bitrate. And you are still convinced that you are right…… lol

Can anyone help me with this?

How do I make VLC playback showing greek subs with correct greek alphabet?

They always show as garbled characters on screen.

    Thanks
