Rockstar announced Max Payne 3
Six years after the release of Max Payne 2, Rockstar Games, best known for its Grand Theft Auto games, decides it’s time to unleash a new Max Payne on the world — Max Payne 3. Like the previous games, the hard-boiled detective story will focus on former NYPD gumshoe Max Payne, who’s a poster child for Prozac — he’s got major internal demons and a penchant for violence. Sam Houser, Rockstar Games’ founder, says that the new Max will be “older, more world-weary and more cynical than before.”
It’s hard to imagine what a “more cynical” version of Max Payne will be like — he’s already plenty cynical, but we’re sure that will somehow translate into more violence, bloodshed and dialogue that sounds like it was ripped from a Dashiell Hammett novel. The first two Max Payne games (released 2001 and 2003) are often credited with starting the trend of using slow-mo “bullet time” in games — then used in hundreds of games after — were some of the few games in the early aughts to successfully blend an interesting storyline and a sympathetic character with high-octane action. We just hope this Max Payne — out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC later this year — will make us forget about all about the game’s abominable film adaptation starring Mark Walburg that stunk up box offices last year. I have been woting for this sequel for years man….After finishing max payne 2 started waiting for max payne 3 but I didnt see it coming….and now I am so thrilled…I still remember the strange and eery atmosphere of the game…the mysterious and dark nature of it….just love it…this is one of my favourite games….and the best thing is that I have been visiting rlslog.net for well over 2 years now and this is my first ever comment regarding any release or news and what made me do it? Both Max Payne games play very well on my 1.4 ghz. computer. I enjoyed the plotline more in the first as it was simpler, but didn't like the blood trail mazes. The second had some very interesting game-play twists (viewpoint changes, protection of NPC's), but with a far more convoluted plotline. I just hope the third game will also play well on my aging 1.4 ghz. Best 3rd-person view games I ever played. I rate them almost as good (in some ways) as Half-Life 2, which was the best game I've ever played.

It is a shame that remedy wont take part in production… But we can be greatfull that EA wont have anyting to do with it;)
Oh man, this is going to be such a huge disappointment since Remedy wont be making this one. Rockstar Vancouver hasn't made a good game yet, and Remedys' shoes are way too big for them to fill with this title. It'll be hyped to death before release and wont live up to it's predecessors.

wow, cool. Max 1 was good, and enjoyable, but i wasn't entirely amazed, max 2 was incredible, tense, awesome, I played the single player through 20+ times, best gaming experience of 2003-2004.
now this, the sequel to argueably the best shooter ever made. Rockstar and Remedy, go team. However i will be sneaking into your house and cutting throats if u again, accept under the table jerkoffs from microsh** and screw ps3 users out of the game at the last minute.
If rockstar makes Maxpayne then it will most def be a fail…

Bring on half life 3 something completely diffrent and new dont care about Max payne its ok but some things should just die, rock start are sell outs oh lets make max payne 3 everyone wnats it we have the brand we will make it some way desent but in the end it will be another medocore shooter, stuff re doing games lets get creative ffs.
This game is gonna have to be activated thru $Te@m will install $ecur0m on your machine and you will want you to provide a dna sample on first sign on and thumb and eye retina scan when you want to play the game thereafter..oh let's not forget that you will also need to have live diamond (100$/monthly) plus you will get a discount towards WOW and see lots of burger ads and non licensed cars all on an engine that is way beyond your specs as of 10 years from now…you will need to file in a form a your local gun shop in order to obtain a license to play the game and fake id's to prove your age will be more than welcomed…
The game is gonna be released as a Bet@ and fans will be the scapegoats to paytest the game , then 2 months later the devs will finally release the "fix it all" patch thus that tactic will have had delayed the pirates , thus the publisher will have made mucho money will providing us with a half baked game that is broken on release…..
It will in all likelihood be terrible. Different devs, regenerating health and massively overblown system requirements
