Earlier today group MoH released a Mexican movie called “Road to Fame”. Any Mexican readers here to introduce a little about the movie? :) Anyway, I include the plot of the movie below, read it if you are interested. Audio is Spanish, English sub included, size is 1CD.

PLOT: Four ambitious and beautiful young women. From four very different corners of Mexico. Just like hundreds of others, they are caught up in the frenzy that sweeps the nation when Alejandro Mateos (Julio Bracho), one of the country’s most powerful producers, dreams up a nationwide talent search to cast the lead in his next big movie. But all this is news to Alejandro’s on-again, off-again lover, Eva Gallardo (Patricia Llaca) , a diva of epic proportions, who expected to get the part. While Eva schemes to nail down the role, our four leads begin their own journey on the road to fame.

    Hi, I’m from Mexico, and I’ve had this movie since it came out. I already made a comment but for some reason is not showing here. Anyway, you’ll get bored with this movie. Only 5 minutes with Patricia Llaca are worth it, and you know what I mean, other than that, nothing good.

    well here is a mexican reader that knows about this movie:

    plain simple, a piece of garbage, when this movie appeared here in mexico it was a major flop, nothing new or interesting just a bunch of stupid girls who can´t act, making a movie full of stereotypes, the poor girl who wants to be famous, the rich girl, etc. nothing really worth watching, all the critics here destroyed this movie in less than 5 seconds, really don´t waste your time…..

    Ok so i watched this movie several months ago (About six) and all i can tell you is that it has a little bit of everything. i guess hunter is not really into this type of movies so thats why of his reaction about it… that doesnt mean that the movie is not worth watching. the movie is actually worth watching but don’t expect much from it, so when i say that it is worth watching, i mean that if you dont have much to do than watch this movie and you wont regret doing so. and uh…. i agree with hunter about the translated name of the movie.

    first about the nave..almos divas and road to fame, its cos the movie tell the story of these girls on the way to the “top”, the ROAD that they have to walk to get there, but the didnt quite make it. thats why in spanish si ( almost divas).

    its a corny movie, directed to mx girls, so its not thaat bad. but doesnt propose nothing new. still… i give it a ..7 or so.
