Just a short post to tell you that our forums will be back up very soon. We are maintaining the server which needed to go offline . Sorry for the inconvenience.

    well, everyone else seems to manage, this forum is down certainly more than it has been up.

    No it hasnt, it was down for about 3 days when we launched it initially because of hosting issues and hasnt been down since apart from now

    I know for a fact that it can be hard to run a forum, I've run a few myself.

    All depends on what type of forum.

    The forum had a few issues the first few days, two at the maximum. After that was ironed out, it has run solidly, with a great amount of posts and threads being created. Included in that are well thought out topics and competitions, as well as all the releases from the scene.

    If you think that the forum has been down more than it has been running, you obviously haven't checked it. If you also believe that running a forum is easy, as well as free, I suggest you start one yourself. Maybe then you could stop whinging about it or wait patiently for the work that has to be done.

    There was a message for a short period of time, but we had to put it down since we've reinstalled our server OS. The forum should be back during today.

    to all the whining people and to all young no-knowledge firecrackers.
    Server issues are sometimes a bit tricky, so for god sake just give the forum staff a bit time to fix the issue. they are doing a great job to keep the forum going.

    @19, i am not an idiot, nor do i manage anything to do with computers, frankly it bores me. but all of the other forums i regularly visit seem not to have these problems and a lot of them have many times the number of users involved at rlstalk. surely someone on here must have experience good enough to figure out how to keep it stable?!

    If you have a lack of knowledge here? Go read what no.9 told you. Other forums are maybe a bit longer online and their problems are fixed?
    So, if you run a forum for about 4 weeks? Sh*t happens.
    You get bored by that? Take it easy and smile.

    Though I sort of wonder what maintenance it needed, as it seemed to be working fine.
