Chaps from group QuidaM surprised me today a bit when they released a dvd screener of Rise. This movie entitles as “Blood Hunter” ballances between thriller and horror and has quite a lot to offer. First of all, no B, unknown actors, but chicks like Lucy Liu and others in the cast. Second, the story isn’t this classic cliched poem about zombies, but a fairly original thing. The sample doesn’t show any timers, notices or blurred areas of the image, but there may be black and white scenes in the full version. If you like to watch some scary flick on Friday night, this one is a hot deal for you!

Sadie (LUCY LIU) is an investigative reporter who has stumbled upon an underground cult that is attracting the young hipsters of Los Angeles. When these kids start disappearing then turning up dead, she wants to understand why. In the midst of her investigation, she herself falls prey to the mastermind behind all the gruesome murders and nothing is the same again. When Sadie awakes in the dark, pushing her way out into the light, she discovers she’s not alive, but she’s not dead either. As she traipses through the seedy underbelly of downtown Los Angeles, her senses are reeling — she must feed to quench her thirst and blood is the nourishment she needs. How can she kill innocent people to satisfy her craving? Why is she alive when she should be dead?

    Martin,unknown actors don’t always equal bad movie.A lot of good well known actors have started in B movies. This film is hardly original,it’s concept was stolen from everything from role playing games to bad TV shows(Forever Knight)to the movie Underworld.

    If Lucy shows us her tits and there’s gore I may give it a try.It sounds like an okay plot,and maybe the writing might actually be a little better than the Underworld films or Bloodrayne.

    Um guys, this movie is NOT PG-13.

    Ok? This is a vampire movie. Lots of nudity, lots of violence, and sex, and good actors.

    Most/all of the nudity is done by lucy lui so yeah :) thats good.

    Pretty good movie… I liked it. (Compared to some unoriginal stereotypical vampire movies)

    I followed the link to get my passcode, before trying the movie, might have been an MPAA “trap”, they are just that stupid to think it would work, they were stupid enough to introduce DRM. What a disappointment, but… the site did PROMISE me a $50 gift card, so fine, instead they try to sell me an Internet Business “in-a-box”. Ok, I down want to have my own business, because then I have to WORK, which means I would also have to fire myself. I just wanted a $50 gift card for doing nothing.

    And what is the big secret with making all this money using the Internet? I will tell you how to do it for FREE. Go to craigslist, make a posting looking for some girls that need a job, buy yourself a few webcams, get a digital camera, rent a dedicated server, get a catchy domain name, make a website and you have yourself a bona-fide porn site with your own girls, so you aren’t just reposting pictures from other sites. get a video camera if you really want to also.

    However, if your some age that ends with an “een”, I suggest you don’t try it, and just it the casual encounters section instead. I’ll watch this Lucy liu flick a bit later, at the worse it will pass any boredom.
