Richard Hammond Meets Evel Knievel WS PDTV XviD-REMAX

This was released about the same time as the latest Top Gear episode and I’ve decided to post it now since some people may be interested in it. Its basically Richard Hammond talking to the late Evel Knievel who died recently. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone PS I will not be around for the next two weeks I will be holidaying.

Just a few weeks ago, Evel Knievel died at the age of 69. Here, Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond realises a childhood ambition when he comes face to face with the American motorcycle stunt legend, whose daredevil feats made him a household name in the 1970s. Richard gets to the core of the man who was as much famed for his bar brawls and womanising as his death-defying stunts, and highlights the extremes of his personality. Knievel chats to the Hamster about his many and varied stunts and crashes, and the fine line between life and death prompting the presenter to discuss his own high-speed crash 15 months ago.

    “do we really need shows celebrating Evel Redneck, a renowned anti-semite ??”

    It’s not exactly celebrating him is it. It’s a show where one human being meets another. Is that difficult for you to come to terms with? And also, he’s entitled to his own opinion, just like you’re entitled to your (wrongly placed) opinion that we don’t need shows “celebrating Evel Redneck”.

    Evel was a childhood hero of mine too, I was brought up in the Evel Kneivel time, had the toy bikes, the van the lot.
    I felt probably much as hammond did. A little saddened to see my hero like that, old, cranky, very very ill.
    He still had a real attitude about him, which obviously as a kid you never saw.
    It was a great program about a great man, whatever Evel’s opinions and thoughts on others or life were, he still is and always will be one of my hero’s.
    He put his life on the line for entertainment, and boy did he entertain.
    He did fall from greatness yes, but thats the price he had to pay, the crashes didn’t kill him, so something had to give.

    Long may we remember Evel Knievel, the last of the great daredevils.
    RIP..

    F*** Off !!!

    Keep the comments to the subject; E K was famous for his m/cycle stunts and is probably worth listening to on that subject.
    I frankly don’t care what his views on religion or other races are, Hamster wasn’t interviewing him for ‘Meet The Press’. I don’t really approve of people marrying their 13 yo cousin, but that doesn’t stop me enjoying Jerry Lee Lewis songs.

    @15:
    Your Behavior is exactly what made WW-2 possible.

    No F***ing id10t would have the idea to tell that Hitler was a great man just because he “invented” the autobahns… and despite it, well, he killed some >6M jews… but the autobahns are more important, heh??!!

    Your comment perfectly shows that ignorant, uneducated and uninterested people are a real threat to our civilization.
