Richard Dawkins The Root Of All Evil Parts 1 & 2 DVDRip XviD-NOsegmenT

We continuing to skip along the path of documentary releases and this time it’s another controversial one. Presented by Richard Dawkins, who’s at University of Oxford so he has got to be pretty clever, this 2-part series tries to rationalise things that lots of people in the world call religion. I’m just about done watching part 1 and I’m glad I got it. Quality of release is very good: crisp picture and clear audio, as you’d come to expect from a DVDRip. In this documentary, you’d learn that apparently 45% (about 135 million) of those in US of A believe that the Universe is less than 10,000 years old. No wonder they (those 45%) elected Dubya…

The Root of All Evil? is a television documentary, written and presented by Richard Dawkins, in which he argues that humanity would be better off without religion or belief in God.

Don’t argue with atheist, Just remember when they die, they will decompose, becomes fertilizer or something, then helps a Tree grow bigger. After they became part of the a Big Tree lets cut them down shred or crush them to pieces, then transform them to paper. After they became paper we will print the bible on them

I am a bit puzzled, most theists on here are Christians yes?
In 2004 the leading cleric at the Vatican made a recorded statement that was broadcast, as far as I know, around the world.
In this broadcast he stated that 15 men, roman generals, had written the bible as a work of propaganda to use on their world conquest, that it was a work of fiction and all made up.
As they moved from country to country they rewrote it for each one, which obviously we did know anyway but to also admit it was fiction in the first place was a new one.
was it not broadcast in America?

Boring documentary. Pathetic to write about Bush, but ignoring that Clinton was just as much war criminal as Bush.

    Please note:

They had to cut stuff out of the first part for legal reasons. Meaning: the DVD-Version is cut. That’s why I want to add the “deleted scenes” that I took from the PDTV release (Root.of.All.Evil.1of2.The.God.Delusion.PDTV-NiX):

    http://rapidshare.com/files/157076548/RoaE_Deleted_Scenes.rar

I compared both versions and the two segments in the rar file are the only cuts. Part two of ‘Root of all Evil?’ was not altered.

all religion is what is wrong with this world. if everyone would just believe in themselves and each others, instead of something that you cant see, then we’d be able to live in a much better place. religion really is the root of all evil. just look back on history.

in quran it says that:they(non believers) know the existence of god but it is hard for them to accept it because they were fooled by evil. What a pity for those who will live the badness of hell in judgement day.

We’re all going to hell for steeling copyrighted content!

If we can’t laugh at how silly we ALL are, then we are not better than the religious fanatics.

91 said : “I would rather spend my lifetime on this earth living by god’s word in order to receive eternal life than to deny it so i can spend my time here in sin while I ignore to think about the consequences”

So you are a good person who does what’s right because you either fear hell or want eternal life?
What does that say about you?

Correct me if i’m wrong but the middle ages ended centuries ago…seems some of you didn’t notice yet.

and also wrote “This is the personal choice and decision I have made in my life based on the truth in the Bible and the life I led before being saved. We all make our choices for several reasons, what’s yours?”

My reason may be familiar to you you call it free will, for me it’s just freedom, I don’t have time to spend on fairy tales and I don’t want anyone to put thoughts in my head.

I arrived to my own conclusions and chose not to belive because I think all religions are just lies created to control people created in the past, and it amazes me that they still work in 2008 for some.

96 wrote : “On a scale of 1-10, the Bible is beating your theory by a factor of 9-1. While I may not believe in a God unless I see one, the Bible is coming out as a much more plausable theory then your unproven faith of evolution.”

unproven faith of evolution…ok…are you serious? next you are going to tell me that the world is only 10.000 years old and that the earth is flat and the center of the universe.

and also: “@91 Ignoranceman, you have shown that you have not even graduated grade school history or physics yet”

It’s based on history to be more believable…it’s called MYTH.History is full of them. Read about the greeks they are much more fun and educative.

And history has proven not to be good friens with religion, just read about anything that happened from 476 AD to 1492 and you’ll see.

you see…you can debate without calling anyone an ignorant.Bye.

@110 I Agree with you, man. Religion has been the cause of many wars and disputes throughout history.

Religious people are so arrogant that they can’t stand atheists or even people who worship other religions.
They are like children fighting over who has the coolest dad.

    Grow up.

If you want to be a good person just do what’s right , moral and ethical. If you do it because you fear god then you are just like children who behave because they fear
    their parents.

All I have ever said was a belief in a higher was good, but when you mix religion and the fact that everyone thinks they are right the issue gets clouded. I would rather be a true persone and do onto others as do myslef and not hide behind my mistakes. Everyone has a choice and we all make them, who’s wrong, who knows, but who are you to judge?

Oh Really? Stupidity, much like the statement from you and @110 has cause MUCH more deaths and wars then every religious war combined. Care to guess where that leaves you?

Hey guys, sorry for filling this post with such a load of crap. I don’t really believe a word I’ve said so far. I just wanted to get all the theists on my side so that I could laugh at them all with you.

I mean… I would have to have had some serious issues as a child to actually believe what I was saying. I doubt many people could take the bible seriously nowadays, unless it’s been painfully forced into them… Sorry, I mean… onto them by a priest.

On a serious note, there is no God, Satan, Heaven or Hell and all of your Christian ideals are laughable… That is all.

@ “Common Sense”: How exactly is what we said stupidity on our part? Religion really caused lots of Stupid wars, i mean all wars are stupid but what’s more stupid than fighting over religious beliefs?

Thou I agree with you, stupidity causes lots of deaths, and one of its forms is religion.

All you religious people sound like you have been programmed, you don’t provide solid arguments to defend your points and your speech sounds void, like something you learned by heart and didn’t reason it even less question it at some point. You sound desperate, like you need to believe in something and then comes religion and takes you under their wing in your hour of need when your defenses are down.
    You’ve been all brainwashed.

New Horizon- i have no problem with people believing in god. as a matter of fact i think religion is needed because it keeps people in check. but thats just it, religion was created as a tool to scare people into living a certain way or they would be punished for eternity. its the most clever trick ever played on man because it cant be proved nor disproved. i like to call it The Santa Claus Theory. be good and get presents (heaven) be naughty and get coal (hell). Also you said God is love and God is fair. but then you lost me when you said this:”The world became wicked and sinful because Adam & Eve made the choice to not obey god’s word and eat the apple.” so when does god get over this apple grudge? so if i cook a steak and put it in front of my dog and expect him not to eat it because i will punish him, who is the dumbass? And since the dog ate my steak now i punish my other 2 dogs for the rest of their days because i am fair and i love them??!!! that gets a flava flav,”WOOOOOOOOOW”. And hey, i love you guys so much, here take my son and give him a few beatings for me and perhaps humiliate him in public a little and if that dont tickle yer fancy, nail him to a cross! i mean heck, he has to learn the hard way that his daddy aint’ always gonna be there to protect him from all those ignorant and evil people i created. It sure is hard getting people to believe im a credible all powerful being that just wants to love them and be fair. “hey lucifer, remember that idea you had about scaring people into believing in me?”
…Im sorry but i just dont get how any logical thinking person with the ability to spell G O D can actually believe this bull*#@!. if a preacher and a scientist were to argue about who is right & who is wrong the scientist would humbly ask the preacher to show him how he is wrong so he may be a better scientist. But you must put money in a bowl before a preacher will speak. thats my 20 dollars worth…
