ReviewMe: Backup Platinum

This is another paid post after Sisulizer and Wirefly ordered through ReviewMe.com here at Releaselog. It will be about a fairly useful tool for almost every computer user: Backup Platinum. The main purpose of this application is pretty clear from the name itself – it should help you to backup your important data. Making a reserve copy of your critical data virtually to any type of storage media (hard or USB drives, CD-R/W or DVD±R/RW media, FTP server or Local Area Network) is really simple with this utility.

128-bit encryption with Blowfish and multichoice ZIP compression on the fly are available to keep your backups small and secure. Built-in CD/DVD engine allows you to erase a rewritable disk before burning and automatically split large backups to several parts using disk spanning. It supports basically all versions of Windows OS and the program comes with a flexible scheduler to provide automatic backups. It can also run in service mode under NT/2000/XP/2003 to execute scheduled tasks even when nobody is logged in.

The 30-day trial version is available for download. It does not have any limitations in functionalit, so you can easily try the product before you pay for it.  Backup Platinum is priced at $67 per license, and if you want to save few bucks, you can subscribe to the newsletter which means 10% off the price. I’ve had a chance to try the full version and the user interface is really simple and working, so you shouldn’t have any problems protecting your confidential files. We all know what a disaster it is when your drive suddenly resignes to work and this is an easy way how to prevent the loss of years of your work…

It is one thing to make pirated software public, but making money from it / due to the publications is horrible.
You all deserve to be punished

The backup process has also two phases: backup and recovery!

What about data recovery? What about data recovery on windows box without installed product? What about data recovery on linux box?

This review is very poorly written! But anyway, the cash to cover server costs is important :)

P.S. There is a typo in tha last p – functionalit.

    awful!

acronis trueimage or norton ghost are both much better.

Can it even do full images of a drive? Surely for that price it should.

You think that paid reviews are evil until you deal with comment advertising.

The interface looks exactly like Handy Backup. If it’s not from the same company then it’s a ripoff.
