like i said i buy loads of movies. at the cinema and through netflix. i dont buy dvds, i find dvd collecting cumbersome.

bajs, did you read my post? i spend far more than a dime on the actual entertainment as i stated in post above. i do support the movies by buying several tix per month and also by renting movies online. i’m not a collector of anything and that includes dvds, i dont like the idea of collecting things which i wont use so i dont do it. i like the idea of watching a dvdrip and so i do it. its not a black and white world, and im as grey as you are.

Hey good news!! In a few months HD movies formats will be mainstream and DVD prices will drop just like VHS did when DVD became mainstream! I can’t wait to actually buy movies that are not on my top 10 list of favorite movies because I really do want to buy more but untill I actually get out of school and get a full-time job I can’t afford to do so. I do the same with PC games.

hahahaha freeloaders are so full of it! they buy equipment for thousands of bucks but won’t spend a dime on the actual entertainment? and if everyone had that attitude, there wouldn’t be any productions at all… kat is right for once, support what you like, atleast to some extent. sure, you can debate left and right if prices are too high or whatnot, but if everyone expect to get everything they want for nothing, in the end there won’t be anything to get

just to explain, i only watch a movie once. seriously i will never watch a movie twice as i dont find it entertaining. so i have never bought videos or movies to collect. i do pay out for movies mainly by going to west end cinemas and by renting dvds. and i have a slighlty expensive home cinema because i planned it and saved for it for 3 years. anyway you can call me a tight ass, i dont mind! just bring on the 2CD AC3 rips. PS Prison Break and Lost look fantastic on my setup in the HR HDTV AC3 versions so kudos to the releasers of HR HDTV AC3 as well!!!.

Eventhough The Fast and The Furious has never qualified for “a good movie” I think many can still appriciate the original one because of the criminal world that you as a viewer get exposed to, in contrary to the two sequals. In TFTF1 you had all these deep characters (aspecially Vin Diesel’s character) and you actually gave a shit about them. 2F2F sucked ass in every way possible but Tokyo Drift is closer to the original movie. The only reason I saw Tokyo Drift is because of the little cameo appearence by Vin Diesel.

cobra, the thing is that even if he wanted to buy it right now he couldn’t because the retail dvd doesn’t come out until Sep. 26th It’s just thanks to the good sources of some groups that we can enjoy retail quality rips almost a month pre-store.

LOL@ #5, just get the DVDR if you’re worried about quality alright? Normally the res on the 2cd rips isn’t much better and changing discs on a system like yours sucks. (you might argue that you’re streaming the movies…in that case… whatever, dvdr still beats any other format. except for hd rips that is. )
