Resident Evil Degeneration 2008 DVDRip XviD-LUSO
Group LUSO which released a few releases lately strikes back with a dvdrip of Japanese animated horror Resident Evil Degeneration, a sequel of popular movie based on the famous video game. It’s hard to believe, but the movie has currently an incredible high rating of 9.1 points out of 10 at IMDB, which ranks the movie among the world’s best films. The audio is English and FiCO also released a subpack if you need subtitles.
Zombies in an airport! The Resident Evil franchise gets a brand new addition this winter with Resident Evil: Degeneration. It’s the first full CGI Resident Evil movie and it picks up seven years after the destruction of Raccoon City by the US government after the first zombie outbreak caused by the Umbrella Corporation. It’s set in a US airport where the T-Virus gets released once again and the airport is locked down, giving the counter-zombie fighters four hours to solve the problem before the virus is spread to the whole of the US.

I watched in Japan. It’s not that good. The rating is very high because of the fanboys that rated without ever watching it. Now that the world has a chance to see it the rating will drop to 6-7/10

lol 9.1 is clearly a mistake, early reviews of this movie put it as average at best.
Live action RE movie was only good in getting the RE name out there. Other than that those movies were downright terrible.

i don’t get how people commenting on about Resident Evil, when they only watched 3 of the live action films( the films are not even close to following the storyline). the reason why you all think those films are good is because it only pack with action sequence. to me there isn’t a single game-base live action( American made)movies that deserve high rating. Those directors mine aren’t hard to figuring out( flashy+action+explosion) and the story is the size of the a children book.
With your crappy level of English, it is understandable why you did not enjoy the movie. Better start bringing out children’s books to brush up. Idiot.

Most live action movies suck don’t get me started on the new dragon ball live action movie, don’t get me wrong i loved the anime but have you seen the trailer…almost NOTHING to do with the storyline..but i’m still going to go watch it

Also, is the dubs decent? Or should i go find a proper Japanese dub?

I’ve watched the Luso and TDM samples. TDM LUSO in this case. That should be obvious since TDM’s release is twice the size.
The English dub is painful. They’ve got an adult voicing a little girl. Badly. The lip syncs are all off. It’s just a nasty let down and a constant, ugly distraction from a finely crafted CGI movie.
I’ve only come across one release with the Japanese dub. It’s a dual-audio release (plus Eng subs) from FXG. I haven’t seen it and don’t know how great the quality is at 700MB. It’s only available on BitTorrent so far as I’ve seen.

Good call on that bud I was thinking the same thing watching this version. The only voices that are good are Leon and Claires, other ones like that English guy made my skin crawl.
Really good film though, lotta good Resident Evil moments in it. Dont think its a 9.1 but worth watching.

I’ve just seen the first 20 minutes and I have to say this is a fantastic film. Its like a really long CGI from a videogame. The whole 20 minutes felt as if the game would begin any minute now.
Anyone who enjoys ingame movies will enjoy this film.
I really can’t see why someone would watch a dubbed movie, except for people who can’t read. Thumbs down for the english dub LUSO.

The movie is good. It’s not poetry, but the CGI makes it seem like an in-game cutscene, and by in-game cutscene standards it is fantastic. I didn’t notice any dub problems (other than that terrible British accent), so these other guys commenting must be pretty big snobs.
If you enjoy action flicks and games, check this out.

I agree with #99 and 103. This movie is GOOD for a stand-alone adapted game to CGI movie. Give it a shot.
It’s not a let down like final fantasy: the spirits within (but not as good as FF:advent children).

The English voice acting is terrible. I thinks some of these people did work in Yugi-Oh. I’d rather see it with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles. It would definitely help.
Though, the CG is hit and miss. Sometimes the character models are fluid, smooth looking and other times they look like they were being rendered using the Quake 3 engine. A downgrade from the quality of Final Fantasy- Advent Children, Spirits Within and KARAS.
Even the politician in the film looks like a zombie. Though I don’t know if that was intentional by the animators or the writers.
