A Joaquin Phoenix film always sounds good to me! I thought he was brilliant in films like “Walk The Line” (Cash is the man), “Buffalo Soldiers” and “The Gladiator” among others. It will be interesting to see his performance in this new project. The ratings look very promising on IMDB, but the reviews on RT seem to be much more harsh. One reviewer said this film “is moving at times, and that’s largely due to the skill of its cast”. This does look like a movie thats worth a watch however, and its delivered in excellent quality.

Quality: As I said, the quality of this release is really good. The image looks crisp, clear and better than most other 1CD DVDRips. DMT have done a really good job here. Audio is your standard old 128kb/s VBR mp3 though. Enjoy.

On a warm September evening, college professor Ethan Learner, his wife Grace, and their daughter Emma are attending a recital. Their 10-year-old son Josh is playing cello — beautifully, as usual. His younger sister looks up to him, and his parents are proud of their son. On the way home, they all stop at a gas station on Reservation Road. There, in one terrible instant, he is taken from them forever. On a warm September evening, law associate Dwight Arno and his 11-year-old son Lucas are attending a baseball game. Their favorite team, the Red Sox, is playing - and, hopefully, heading for the World Series. Dwight cherishes his time spent with Lucas. Driving his son back to his ex-wife, Lucas’ mother Ruth Wheldon, Dwight heads towards his fateful encounter at Reservation Road. The accident happens so fast that Lucas is all but unaware, while Ethan — the only witness — is all too aware, as a panicked Dwight speeds away. The police are called, and an investigation begins. Haunted by the tragedy, both fathers react in unexpected ways, as do Grace and Emma. As a reckoning looms, the two fathers are forced to make the hardest choices of their lives.

    Saw this at the cinema. It’s true, the cast just holds this movie from being the STV drama it would have been with an otherwise unfamiliar cast.

    Primo, tomorrow There Will Be Blood will be released tomorrow as well as Walk Hard, The Dewey Cox Story. They’re set to be released on DVD April 8th, 2008. Diamond is always three weeks ahead of DVD retail dates, so no question about it, they will releases these two releases as everything else set for April 8th, 2008 has been released already.

    hmm raymond is right. there’s a crc-failure in the archive :/ but it’s (imho) quite n00b to put the file into 45 rar’s without any kind of recovery-record… so restoring of the corrupt part (part25) is not possible. pls up part25 separately. thx

    Thank you very much for posting a rapidshare NZB link for this movie! I personally feel NZB is the way to go instead of picking up multi-parts individually. You don’t have to do anything with a NZB file, just download the NZB file (I use GrabIt) and everything (all parts) is included in the one link. And with GrabIt, this application decodes everything automatically and leaves you with an AVI file.

    redownloading that one part will not help if there is a crc error, i had to throw away first descent because of crc errors in several of the files, the par file provided said all was well, but it would not extract the movie, even using keep broken files when extracting setting :( repairing didnt work either.

    i’d be inclined to say trash what you have and find another source

    the 45 rar files is probably a scene thing
