Group SiNNERS brings us another BluRay rip of yet another great movie. I loved this movie (even though i havent seen it in years), It was excellent. Great acting, story everything! (IMO) i highly recommened watching this if you havent seen it before.
Requiem for a Dream exposes four paralleled individuals and their menacing addiction to heroin, cocaine, and diet pills (speed). Taking place in Brooklyn amidst the waning Coney Island, the drugs are very easily obtained and keep each main character in its cycle of dependence. The protagonist Harry Goldfarb is your typical heroin junky with an ambitious plan of “Getting off hard knocks,” with help from his cocaine crazed girlfriend Marion and his long time friend Tyrone. Meanwhile his widowed mother is obsessed with the glamor of television and eventually finds her way to a dietitian who pushes her into the cycle of drug induced enslavement.

Awesome flick! Not my fave, but an awesome movie none the less. I have to suggest Memento and Pi which are also awesome flicks with some craziness going on. Pi especially. These were some awesome flicks back in the day, I have kind of moved on from these movies, but I will definitely be getting this one. Thanks!

I will second Nathan in saying it is one of the greatest movies–an experience. I personally think it’s somewhat like Shawshank Redemption, in that it’s a great movie but not one you can watch all of the time.

Can you burn blu-ray to a regular dvd+r. And if so can someone give me a link to a tutorial?

- Theres a lot of ways to do this.
You can convert them and put them on an 360 or a ps3.
You can put them on an external and some tv’s have usb input, but then to get sound u’d need it to output to a reciever because the tv itself usually wont play DTS or AC3.
You can put it on an external and get this thing, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8993217&st=western+digital&type=product&id=1218008588808 , and hook your external to it, and output it to a tv and reciever.
Or you could just get a nice video card and output your computer to your tv…
those are the ways i know.

yeah. this movie is not for everyone, someone should say that. if you can’t stomach the extremely depressing story and atmosphere you won’t have much fun. it’s well-shot, but i’d guess that if you want to watch it with your girlfriend you better not look like you enjoy it. you sick bastard.

This a great coincidence as yeterday I just watched “Pi” again.
This one though is deffo not for everyone specially the IQ challanged immature ppl with a yearning for SFX laden Hollywood flicks. I really liked this movie, will like it even if the sex scenes were deleted.
This is a cinematic masterpiece leaving you emotionally drained after seeing how some peoples lives can be so utterly destroyed.
Great flick!Not for the faint at heart but greaqt story there’s even a moral{Don’t get so hooked on smack you’ll do anything for it,Including loseing an arm}.Yes I admit there is a couple disturbing scenes but they’re used to make a point.

Although the ‘ass2ass’ scene is one that cannot be cut – ever – I want to see one douche that will give this movie a high rate for its porn values. If one doesn’t like it: fine. (although I am sure that I wouldn’t get along with this person well) but be assured: those who hold this masterpiece dear like I do have very different reasons from its arousing level for doing so.
And by the way: The ost is one in a million… great album.
If this version is uncut I will deffinitely get and rank it between the best movies ever made – where it belongs. (and admitedly jerk it to that scene),

Another huge fan of ReqFOD, it is indeed one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Perfect Mansell soundtrack. Definitely the best from Aronofsky, Pi’s a far second with The Wrestler looking to take that spot. (RoboCop?!)

listen, the fanboys who really love this film aren’t in it for the porn–hell there’s a billion hard core porns out there. no, what the fanboys really love about this film is the drug addiction. the fanboys are all drug addicts. they get off on seeing the drug use, not porn. sadly, you can really say it’s the loser drug users who are the biggest fan boys of this film. for the record, it think this stupid sucks ass big time, but i’ll nevertheless like jennifer connelly. she’s hot!

By the way – yes, this is a very dystopic and sad movie depicting addiction and the consequences of drug abuse.
And maybe it’s one of the most visual and best movies ever portraying this.
So if you don’t like sad or depressive films, don’t see it. But if you liked “Pi” or “The Fountain” (both by the same director), it’s a must-see.
