Here we have something different,Rent’s closing-night performance in New York City. As the musical Rent neared the completion of its 12-year run on Broadway, Sony Pictures Releasing decided to film the occasion of the final performance. Using footage shot at a live performance in August and footage of the September 7 closing night show, they included the closing festivities, which featured several original Broadway cast members of the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical who had joined in to celebrate the farewell. The final performance, filmed in high-definition digital video. TheWretched releases a nice 2cd rip.

Set in New York City’s gritty East Village, the revolutionary rock opera RENT tells the story of a group of bohemians struggling to live and pay their rent. “Measuring their lives in love,” these starving artists strive for success and acceptance while enduring the obstacles of poverty, illness and the AIDS epidemic. This encapsulation of 
the revolutionary rock opera Rent’s closing-night performance — which uses 16 cameras to capture a picked-for-posterity
 ensemble — is fast-paced, in-your-face, and full of life. In other words, it’s everything that Chris Columbus’ 2005 movie wanted to be. It’s tough to pack 12 years of memories into one hour of EXTRAS, but seeing original cast members like Anthony Rapp and Jesse L. Martin join in 
on “Seasons of Love” goes a long way. B+

    Hey, this is different from the DVD Scr because it has no water mark and is a much higher quality rip (1 cd vs. 2 cds).

    If you care about the movie quality, grab this one. :)
