Releaselog back online
Just a quick post, we are back online on a new host after 2 or 3 days of downtime. It’s been just something over 1 month since similar situation occured, and although our previous host assured us there will be no problems, we got shut down anyway. I would like to say thanks to everyone who emailed me with help and recommendations about hosting offers, I can say we have a huge list of possible solutions in case we go down now. The main problem is that we need fairly powerful, above-standard server and it simply takes some time to get such a server online. Anyway, massive thanks to Ryan and Jason from 2c7, they took a great care of us and we are back online thanks to them!

Seriously, you better get out of here quickly. The UK is probably the most unfriendly place for ‘grey area’ sites like RLSlog.

I have to say, no other site goes anywhere near You. Maybe that’s whats gives You trouble. Miss this site everytime it’s down. How come, that a site like irfree can have a premium membership, and You don’t even have a “support us” feature? Getting freeware for instance, offers You to give a donation via ex Paypal. I sure would like to do that. Keep it up, Rlslog!!!

It’s good to see you guys back but you’re pushing the barriers of informative and have been for a while now.
If you truly claim to be just an informative site you need to stop including links to various torrents and rapidshare downloads in the post and ban links in the comments.
All we need to know is the release name and when they’re available and we can go find the content ourselves. If people are too stupid to go look and rely on links being posted here that’s their problem.

You should host in Switzerland! Rapidshare is here because it’s a quite place to be regarding downloading.

Please tell us who your old host was so that a couple thousand of us can email them and ask them why they lied. Promising not to cave in on you guys and then caving anyway = Some ol’ BS.

Thank you on your hard working. Sometimes software companies should open their eyes and see sites like these as an great chance to promote their software to those who would not get knowledge somehow.
When i find real nice legit products i had contacted with previously on a good price i certainly buy the original. Even for some music and movies, if was not sites like these i would never knew …
Stop complaining, industry and build new business models appealing to buyers …

There are at least half a dozen release sites of similar calibre.
@noobs: And which ones would that be??? You mean like scene–releases.info or scns-rc.net etc.? Because almost all of them (screw that.. I’ll say it: all of them) have far, far less posts and their speed is quite unreliable … or more like ad-hoc.

I think it’s not a good idea to operate such a site in the UK.
You will soon get the same problems as in Germany and the Netherlands. I do not know if you come from Europe, but nobody here would think of such a page are in one of the countries operate (some perhaps in the Netherlands). Seek out a provider in one of the following countries:
Sweden, Ukraine, Spain or Russia.
These countries have very long proven in the European “Scene”. I only mean well and want only your best. For a very sensible provider in such country of what you are here makes tolerated.

but maybe you schould consider leaving the UK again, since a few guys who appear that they know what they’re saying, recommended that. Maybe one day you won’t make it back online or you would have to start from scratch.

Agree with 39, all you need to post is the release name and google does the rest, posting screenshots of the actual release and the quality will give you the edge and keep visitors
