BUT –

this film was very disappointing.
i enjoyed watching most parts, but coming to the end, which was really poorly done, was devastating.

so don’t expect to much, as to not regret it afterwards.

Thanks for the release! I wanted this to be vintage Mamet. Sadly the demands of a 30ish year old failed singer/spouse appear to have deluded the quality of his work beyond recognition. With all of the talented actors appearing in this cluster, one would expect at least a decent plot. Unfortunately, it took me all of 5 minutes to see the Billboard Plot hints, planted like trees along the highway to nowhere, which is where this movie takes you. Fortunately there are several cool fight sequences sparingly placed around the 15-20 minute “hints” of where this movie could have taken you. Again, I’ve seen everything Mamet has done in the past 15 years, and this is by far the lowest rung I’ve seen on the ladder of decline leading from a once talented writer/director. Again, nice release, nice quality, bad movie. I guess you can’t win them all…
