Redbelt DVD SCREENER XViD-PUKKA

The great gods from PUKKA give us a kick ass DVDSCR of a very well rated martial arts movie; Redbelt :D I’ve been waiting for the scene to release this since I heard about this movie, and now we have a release worth watching. The retail DVD isn’t out until August 26th, so there should be a rip by the end of this month, but I don’t think there is reason to wait when the nfo doesn’t mention any B&W scenes or any of that junk, and the sample is clean, so no better time to see this.

Quality: According to the NFO and sample, this is just as great as a DVDRip :D No B&W scenes, no property of messeges or anything of the sort.

Set in the west-side of Los Angeles fight world, a world inhabited by bouncers, cage-fighters, cops and special forces types, Redbelt, is the story of Mike Terry (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a Jiu-Jitsu teacher who has avoided the prize fighting circuit, choosing instead to pursue an honorable life by operating a self-defense studio with a samurai’s code. Terry and his wife Sondra (Alice Braga), struggle to keep the business running to make ends meet. An accident on a dark, rainy night at the Academy between an off duty officer (Max Martini) and a distraught lawyer (Emily Moritimer) puts in motion a series of events that will change Terry’s life dramatically introducing him to a world of promoters (Ricky Jay, Joe Mantegna) and movie star Chet Frank (Tim Allen). Faced with this, in order to pay off his debts and regain his honor, Terry must step into the ring for the first time in his life.

    There are scrolling property messages and black and white scenes on this release.

    Sometimes even Pukka leaves that out in the NFO and you need to screen the film before posting for sure that it doesnt contain those thing just because it was absent from the NFO.

    So yeah great flick,

    Just letting people know.

    Might want to edit the header on this post so people dont whine about it.

    The movie isn’t all that great. It feels very anti-climatical and the directing is just awful. It’s a shame because the premise seems like it has potential, but it was lost in production.

    Wow, I cannot believe this got such a high rating. I went to see this with some friends (all big MMA fans) on opening day, and we were the only ones in the theater. It didn’t take long to figure out why. The whole story was segmented and not everything really fit together. The MMA event at the end was alright, but really, that was the only part I (or anyone else I know who saw it) liked at all.

    If the staff waited until they downloaded and watched each release, we’d have even more people on this site complaining that they were always late with bringing new releases to our attention.

    I think they just go by the NFO and then wait for us to check ‘em, and I can’t say I really blame them.

    Who cares if theres b&w scenes and some property logos you load of unselfish bastards, that is why they are called dvdscreeners and not dvdrips so expect it.

    every 15 minutes theres a scrolling message at the bottom of the screen claiming property rights and telling u to ring the MPAA if u bought this (lol if u did) and then a 10 second period of black and white. its fine tho doesnt stop u from enjoying it. then agen it was a sh!t movie, i would barely have given this 5/10 let alone 7.6

    I liked the movie. I don’t regret watching it.
    RED Belt > Kong Fu Panda > Iron MAn … i’m not joking. You just don’t know if a movie is gonna live to the hype or not.

    there are various languages spoken throughout the film: french, albainian, etc.

    Whoever did the posting of this entry must not have actually checked out the movie before mentioning that the owner claims there are no B&W sections or a “property of” message to deal with for this screener… but there is a scrolling “property of” message that begins at the 15 minute timeline of the movie and repeats every 15 minutes after that.

    But this doesn’t spoil the high quality of this release… you can almost ignore those scrolling messages.

    Thanks for the release! I wanted this to be vintage Mamet. Sadly the demands of a 30ish year old failed singer/spouse appear to have deluded the quality of his work beyond recognition. With all of the talented actors appearing in this cluster, one would expect at least a decent plot. Unfortunately, it took me all of 5 minutes to see the Billboard Plot hints, planted like trees along the highway to nowhere, which is where this movie takes you. Fortunately there are several cool fight sequences sparingly placed around the 15-20 minute “hints” of where this movie could have taken you. Again, I’ve seen everything Mamet has done in the past 15 years, and this is by far the lowest rung I’ve seen on the ladder of decline leading from a once talented writer/director. Again, nice release, nice quality, bad movie. I guess you can’t win them all…

    this film was very disappointing.
    i enjoyed watching most parts, but coming to the end, which was really poorly done, was devastating.
