@16: Sure you can turn any 360 or PS3 into a media centre capable of playing .mkv's and all other sorts of media files, the only problem with that is that your computer has to transcode the file while you're watch it. So if you don't have a brand new i7 with 3+GHz of quad core processing power, you might have to reduce the quality in order to watch it without buffering pauses .

Other question, most MS links only have the mkv file – shouldn't there also be a .bat file for the conversion process? Where can I grab this?

Meaning that there are a good amount on public and some of my priv trackers but not even close to the pre list of what has been released by DOWN, Chakra, BDFLiX and so on

Yes there is slight quality loss but Im all for the stand alone Blu-Ray player movement……..until everyone has a .mvk player like a divx player (wont happen)
